Stimulants Inhaling Methylphenidate HCL

Hello, I have a question regarding inhalation of Methylphenidate.

I've successfully extracted Methylphenidate HCL to a very high purity. Its in its crystal form at least, using different solvents and such.
In another project I started I "made" a vaporizing machine, very similar to those used for administering asthma medications. So it doesn't use heat but pressurized air to make a mist that can be inhaled.

So I'm quite curious how inhaling Methylphenidate would work. Its solubility is so good in water that it should be no problem inhaling enough at the speed my vaporizer makes vapor. Have anyone tried this before? And if you have what was your experience?

I also made a solution to dissolve benzodiazepines in for some IV users I know. It contains 1,2-propanediol, water and alcohol, sterile of course. I know its not a toxic solution to IV. But I'm not quite sure if its good to get in the respiratory system. Also I cant get a high concentration of Diazepam to dissolve in this solution so I would have to inhale for quite a long time. Again have anyone tested this before me, and if so, how did it work?

Also I welcome educated guesses on this topic.

There are many anecdotes of people smoking methylphenidate with conflicting results. Even if your sure you performed your extraction correctly, there is no way to guarantee that and even if there was it would be difficult to tell the pharmacokinetics of this method of administration.

I'm also pretty certain that your co-solvent solution for benzodiazepine solubility is wrong. As far as I know you need propylene glycol/polyethylene glycol with ethanol to perform this.

I'm pretty sure the extraction was successful, I did this a couple of years ago to and tested the crystalline substrate that was the end product. And of course without a proper scientific analysis of it I cant be sure of the purity, but as I tested it there was no doubt in my mind that it was pretty pure. I used a mg scale to measure dosage, and it corresponded well to my expectations. It was quite scary how small a dose gave such a powerful effect.

But I get your point of it being difficult to predict the effects.

1,2-propanediol is just another name for propylene glycol. I use ethanol as the alcohol, the water part was just to make it less painful for the people IV it. As I remember I used 50% propylene glycol 30% ethanol and 20% water.
