I was an alcoholic (half gallon vodka/day, drank all day every day for 3 years).
I caught acute pancreatitis and (thanks to doctors putting me on IV morphine for 10 weeks and given me an rx for OC80's and roxis, plus xanax) have struggled with dependency on opiates (mainly oxy, but all, really - morphine, codeine, dilaudid, percocet, vicodan, fentanyl, tramadol, hydrocodone, hydromorphone, lortab, norco - except heroin) and benzos (mainly Alprazolam/Xanax but again, I like Chlordiazapoxide/Librium, Diazapam/Valium, Clonazapam/Klonopin, etizolam, zopiclone (is that a benzo?) etc). Trouble is I have genuine SEVERE chronic pain plus crippling anxiety (I've been hospitalized for my panic attacks 17 times since I was 13)...so I'm addicted to them...but I can't not take them. Plus I take a combination of anti-depressants, benzodiazapines, opiates, anti-psychotics, mood stabilizers and sleeping pills and I've been told by doctors if I stop taking them - or even try to taper outside of a professional medical hospital specializing in pills - with it being so many drugs - I could have a seizure and die.

Anyway, sorry I went off-topic. When I was low on alcohol I'd sometimes inhale deodorant (through thick tissue paper, at least, not just spraying the whole thing in my mouth like Alison on Intervention) and I've sort of fallen back into it as a got-nothing-better-to-do-and-it-makes-me-smiley-and-less-lethargic.

I've been told computer duster is a much better experience, though? And that STAY AWAY from things like butane which are the ones that tend to kill/cause brain damage?

I know it's best to stop, but this is bluelight so I'm hoping there's actual huffers here who can advice? Not looking just for what is best for euphoria but also safety? I try not to do it and it's not an every day - or even every week - thing. It's just cheap and legal.

Is 'cheap and legal' worth doing serious, permanent damage to your body and mind?

Trust me, I'm a daily heroin addict, have been for eight years almost, I know how difficult it can be to turn down instant gratification due to potential harm to your person. But you must make the choice: your body and mind will be damaged if you don't stop using inhalants. I'm not sure what exactly you meant about butane, but if you're using it to get wasted then you can add cancer and the potential for cardiac arrest to the list of ailments you're inviting. Butane is worse even than computer duster.

This isn't really a trip report, and I imagine it'll get moved as soon as a mod sees it to Other Drugs, or maybe the Dark Side, but I had to put my two cents in here anyway. You're clearly already suffering from various afflictions of the mind and body, through anxiety and chronic pain. If you continue abusing inhalants you will be getting a few seconds of being wasted in exchange for greatly exacerbating your problems as well as adding brand new problems to the list, and it sounds like you really don't need more problems. Stop huffing, period, if you value your life and your sanity.

Who cares if its legal? Keyboard duster is deadly as is huffing aerosols. A can of that stuff costs as much as a bag of weed anyway. Huffers don't last long.

Actually the gas in 'duster' is a difluoroethane volatile anesthetic and if memory serves it has been used as an anesthetic gas in some places in South America. Certainly overdoing it can cause 'death' and all sorts of bad behavior but the idea that 'duster' is something that will cause long term damage is more conjecture than anything else.
