Hi,

the thread-title says it: is it possible to have immediate withdrawal effects even after taking an opoid/opiate just for one day or is it possible to have some kind of protracted withdrawals?

To date i never experienced heavy withdrawals but mild symptoms such as a runny rose, being unmotivated and/or being overly tired. But almost every time i've taken some opiate/opioid i'm getting a weird sensory feeling in my extremities the day after, and this is of course worse if i'm taking a substance for a prolonged period of time. It's not that bad but annoying as you can imagine.

I "usually" have breaks from up to a week between taking an opioid, sometimes more, sometimes less.

Thanks :)

It's possible yeah, it happens to everybody i would assume but how individuals react is probably mostly psychological. Rather than calling it withdrawal, the term hangover would be more appropriate. A hangover is withdrawal but on an acute, one time basis.

^Rebound effects are not really the same as withdrawal syndrome. When people refer to opioid withdrawal they do not normally mean mild rebound symptoms that occur after a single use of the drug.

OP - I would definitely increase the length of time between uses and never use for more than one day in a row as it sounds like you could be heading towards worse symptoms.

Do you think i'm heading towards addiction and these are the physical warning signs?

My plan was to take a break of at least 4 weeks and see how it's after that time.

I think that a 4 week break is a great idea.

Yes, it is, but it's a pain in the ass really doin' it.

It's not that i'm taking opioids just for recreational use, i need them for several back problems... I hope to get off that stuff for at least a month now. At least i'm capable of spacing the uses a bit more apart from each use to another. Seems like i have to work my way up to a month asap.

Thanks!
