I'm still searching for a fine peace of mind.

What is actually going on? I mean... fuck! Somedays I'm shocked at the seeming perfection of it all. But christ! I do often wonder If there is a difference between natural and unnatural. If the culture we have built, the imploding world economy, the violence, the meanness and the selfishness are natural. Money's a farse. How can the whole world be in debt, I mean.. in debt to what? The cosmic aces?

Seriously. Does anyone know or have some incling of why I was born into a world with obligations and responsibilities. Inherent suffering, original sin and all that.

I wanna know what everyone's views on the state of things are. And I tried using the search tool but it seems it would take a long long time to read through all the data and find the objective conclusion.

I heard an Allan Watts lecture somewhere on the internet and he quoted a poet - 'alone and afraid in a land I never made'. He goes on to talk of our species way of thinking - that we are sole vessels brought into a world and that everything outside of our body is alien to us.

Why are we still subjected to this way of thinking, when it is clearly just plain wrong.

Here's the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m8PLp_RX7Ow

I guess I would really like to know everyone's opinion on the matter.

Philosophy and spirituality is beside the point. Can a thread not belong in homeless?

Your obligations and responsibilities are in the past, and in the future.

That also means they're in your mind, and they don't exist externally to you. Taking them as existing externally (i.e. taking time as an actuality existing outside of/apart from you) is the problem.

You're not really existing in/over time at all, and so all that's needed is to treat time like you'd treat nicotine and quit the addiction. Then you have no obligations or duties apart from what you're doing right now, whatever and whenever that may be.
Maybe nothing is worth paying attention to.
Or everything is.

Peace...
