Heroin im scared shitless

i shot heroin this past weekend for the first time, i shared a needle with two other people we used bleach between each person but im still scared i might have caught something ..how well does the bleach steralize a needle?..im going to get tested, and i know what i did was incedibly stupid, and will never do it again
 
Bleach is a good steralizer if you do it right. You should have used a 1:10 bleach to water ratio while pulling the plunger as far up as it would go. Do that 3 or 4 times and the odds are good that you killed any potential viruses. I would say the biggest risk is hep c as it is a very hardy virus. you need to wait around 6 months from exposure to get tested.
 
A new pack of 10 syringes is only about $3 at any pharmacy.

I can't even tell you how incredibly stupid it was to share a works, but yeah. If you have health insurance, you can go to the hospital and get preventative care. Otherwise, wait a couple months and get tested.
 
Yeah, regardless of how effective or ineffective a particular cleaning method is, needles should not be shared at any time for any reason if you have respect for yourself.

Like everyone said, hopefully the bleach did the trick and this will just be the little scare that makes you straighten up and never do something like this again.

^This, i dont understand why people share needles when theyre soooo cheap.Is your life not worth .25 for a clean rig?

Its not usually about the money. Its the fact that the dope is right there in front of your face and every second feels like an eternity. Your only thought is to get that shit in your vien as quickly as possible the future is irrelevant. Ahhh being a junky is great. ;0

I used to shoot up heroin for years and i shared my existence with the lowest of the low, scum life...alot of my friends had aids, i've searched through my bin to recover MY used syringes but i have never shared a needle with anyone. I pray for you that you are fine and that you have laernt ur lesson.
 
If the government wanted anything else but to persecute, and further the demise of addicts they'd have needle exchanges in every state. Or at least not require a prescription to buy them like here in CA. My friend just sold 100 insulin syringes on the street for $400. Cant imagine how much IV users here in the US have to go through just to stay safe.

Dude... this was incredibly stupid. But now it's done. The world won't stop spinning, but I know how bad it can be not to know if you catched a disease or not. Asking you why you did this doesn't help either, so I won't ask.

It's always the same... people trying to get their medication, but prohibition forces them to take dirty drugs (impurities etc.), buy their impure medication on a black market where it's very dangerous and then they even don't have the necessary tools to consume them... this system MUST come down. It will come down...

Get tested. There's a test that can be made immediately, but it costs a lot more than the "normal" tests. It's named something with "RNA" or "RN PCR" or something like this. It tests for the RNA of the virus I guess. I've had one of these tests myself, and I know how terrible it is not to know if you're positive or negative.

I wish you all the best. I really hope that everything is fine. Did you know those other two guys? Are they friends of you? Do they shoot up often? I can't imagine how this must be... I couldn't use a syringe that's been used by another person. I don't even re-use the syringes I use. Once I've injected with a syringe, I throw it away. But I collect them and then I bring them to the needle-exchange. It's great. You buy 30 syringes, bring them to the exchange and say "it's 50 syringes". Get 50. The next time you say it's 70, then 100, then 130, then 150, then 200, then 250, 300, 350, 400, 500... and abracadabra, you got a big supply of sterile equipment. Unfortunately, the needle exchanges in my country haven't heard ANYTHING of micron-filters ("wheel filters"). They have those "steri-filters" though... They have a membrane, but they don't filter much better than filter paper (for coffee for example) or a cigarette filter. I hope they'll get micron-filters in the near future, because in my country, the main opioid that's injected is not heroin, but morphine-pills. All those people who inject LOADS of fillers, especially micro-crystalline cellulose and talc... my goodness. A friend of mine knows someone who showed them a micron-filter, fortunately. I hope they'll think about it...

THEY DON'T HAVE NEEDLE-EXCHANGES IN EVERY COUNTRY IN THE USA?!? WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON ON THIS PLANET?! I guess I can be "thankful" for living in a european country that has needle exchanges in its major cities.

For Real? Since when? I was living in SD and could get cheap insulin syringes over the counter, but that was 10 years ago. When did this happen?
 
I looked into buying needles for diabetes and without a script you can buy needles online for like $7.00 for a box of over 100. I can give the link if I have permission to do so.

that was kind of stupid., like fucking strangers without condom...
but i think the bleach wash was ok... if u washed the syringe inside you should be fine
though I'd never shoot anything, only if I know it's pure
 
That's BS imakickassninja. Bleach kills HIV, Hep C etc. It has a near 100% success rate if done properly, and yes they have done research studies on this. If it's done properly it is an excellent way to reduce infection risks if there is no other alternative (IMO there always is, even if it means not using though). Suck up thin bleach, pour out, suck up tap water, pour out and then use.

That said clean needles is always best. Actually not using needles in the first place is best, but if you're at the stage where you're injecting heroin then you're health could very well end up getting fucked eventually anyway.
