Hi everyone, I hope you all are having a good night.
I have a diagnosis of spinal stenosis, degenerative arthritis, and chronic pain. I am not a candidate for steroid shots but they gave me pills. I used oxy 10's (blues) recreationally for about 9 months 2 at a time. November was my first script of a opiate. I have a very low pain tolerance to the point of tears and trips to er's, Dr. sent me to spine specialist, physical therapy, chiropractor but still continued to suffer. She started me out with percocet 10mg/325 APAP, (i think it was, it may have been 5) I didn't like all that tylenol because I was needing to take it every 6 hours because of the pain, she switched me to 0.5mg of oxycodone, but again used it to manage my pain,, I would take 2-3 at a time though, and that would be the most I would take, I am not into take 10-20 pills at a time, because I knew what 20mg would do for me. Well today I get my new script and open it up and I think the pharmacist screwed up cos I have 5mg oxycodone. I am confused because they definitely look different and I looked up on pill finder and typed in the 223 imprint and it said 5mg. I could find no where 0.5mg pills anywhere on that site. So when I see that I took 6 of them knowing I have a very high tolerance and used to do 2/10mg blues at once and felt mighty fine. My question is are these water soluable and is it possible to draw up that much to use recreationally? I just don't want to waste them, if it would be worth my time I will though. I know for a fact these have no tylenol. Any opinion or help would be appreciated. Thanking you ahead of time.

The oxycodone 5s (green) are water soluble. They do, however, have quite a bit of binding material, so under no circumstances should you heat the solution. Also, if you're shooting pills, it is highly advisable that you invest in a micron/wheel filter, especially if you're doing pills with a large percentage of binding material. Are you doing a CWE or trying to prep for IV extraction?

No, I am actually a certified hemodialysis technician, no working due to my disability. Just inquisitive that's all, not sure about a wheel filter, will have to google that I guess, or if you can direct me that would be great. Oh yeah mine are definitely white with 223 imprint, so I wonder what the difference is? The pill finder also said oxycodone hydrochloride.

I'm confused. You were on 10 mg Percocet and you are saying you were then on .5mg oxycodone? 10 mg percocet is 10mg of oxycodone plus Tylenol. So going to a .5 mg oxycodone(if this dose even exists) is way less then you were orginally taking. Also when people usually refer to blues, they are 30mg pills not 10's. 10's are usually pink

There is no .5mg oxycodone, the pill is a 5mg. The reason 6 did you well is because that is 30mg oxy, instead of 20mg like you would take with the 2 10mg's.

THERE IS NO POINT TO SHOOT OXYCODONE, its oral bioavailability is as close to IV as you're gonna get with a substance, taking the risk is so unnecessary it's stupid.

I think you're confused; there are no 0.5mg oxy. You got 5's both times but perhaps looked different bc of different manufacturers.
Don't shoot oxy, too much binder. Bioavailability is good orally.

I also don't understand if you were having trouble with the pain on perc 10's why dr dropped you to 5's? Did she make it one tablet every 4 hrs with the 5's instead of every 6?

I was wondering that too but perhaps she gave a larger quantity to give OP the freedom to take 15mg , and take more without worrying about excess APAP.
