I am 36 and have two kids, while I am NOT a MOM, I am a Dad hehe and smoke daily. My oldest is 12 yrs old and I just can't imagine him smoking in another 4 yrs, as a matter of fact, I'd kick his butt..lol...j/k, no really but you get my point. I didn't smoke for the first time until I was 17. I guess I take issue with teens smoking at too early of an age, because my brother started smoking at 14 and it messed him up badly. He wound up with paranoia & social anxiety. This lasted well into his 20's, he was paranoid about everything, acted like a big baby when things wouldn't go his way and he was scared to death of communicating with people he didn't know, which made it difficult for him to keep a job.
I would prefer my kids smoke when they have matured mentally and are doing so because they want to, not because their friends are doing it and they are feeling the pressure, come to think of it, I would rather my kids have no interest in it, even though I am all for Full Legalization as if it were alcohol or tobacco. I smoke cigs too and I wouldn't want them to smoke them either. I am not being a hypocrite, I just know that it's not the healthiest of choices. However, once they are adults, they will have to make their own decisions and deal with whatever consequences come with those decisions.
