Lysergamides Identifying LSD dropper contents

I have an LSD dropper that says 100x on it but I’m super inexperienced with L and have no idea what that means or how to know how much would be in each drop. It’s also about 2 years old so there’s only about 1/3 of the original liquid. It’s for microdosing but would love some direction so I don’t accidentally end up on outer space when I’m not ready. Thanks fam.

100x could mean anything. I could speculate, but I won't. You could add a drop to blotter and send that to be lab tested, but I'm not sure how consistent dropper bottles are. You can reagent test it in the same way but that won't give you any indication of potency.

If you don't want to go the lab route I'd reagent test it to make sure it's acid and then just start low and see how you go.

Most likely it means 100 doses...

If the bottle WAS full and has now evaporated down to ~1/3 of the capacity, expect the concentration of LSD to have tripled relative to the volume of water containing it. In my opinion, reagent test the liquid first, and if it indicates the presence of LSD, put a drop in an amber bottle (I use Goslings ginger beer) and drink ~1/4 of the bottle, putting it away in your fridge afterwards. Wrapping it in tin foil can help it last longer by keeping light out.

Feeling out batches of acid or mushrooms is best done over a period of a month or so, giving 7-10 day breaks between LSD and 3-4 day breaks between mushrooms. Start super low on the dose and get the feeling for just a mild taste, and then after your tolerance is back down, try again. If you try to feel it out with tolerance, all you're gaining is a delusion, not actual understanding, and tragically people often think "Well I'll just take a little bit and if I like it I'll take the rest", but LSD's tolerance forms immediately so any redosing without a full tolerance break is a waste.

It’s for microdosing
Trying to clarify here. Was the vial made as a microdose vial originally? Or are you trying to use LSD in a microdose style?

If it was a microdose vial to begin with, I wouldn't worry tooooooo much about it being concentrated to 3x potency. Most* microdose vials are 5-15ug, so the dose would be 15-45ug, which is generally considered a pretty light dose..

However if it was a standard vial (which are generally dosed at 100ug a drop) you'll definitely want to be careful. Because like @Esperighanto mentioned, if it's evaporated to 1/3 of original volume, its going to be 3x more potent.

300ug is a face melting experience for most people.

Thank you for being responsible. Here are a couple of options I did not mention. You could easily reconstitute it back to the original volume by adding vodka or some other spirit. That would at least take some of the guess work out. (In the US, a vial is usually* 2.5mL or 100 drops approximately...

If it's a regular* vial and you're trying to microdose with it, I would reconstitute it back to original volume, and then add 1 drop to 9 drops of vodka/spirit for 10ug drops.

Alot of assumptions here unfortunately.

However if you can spare a few bucks there is a company that sells quantitative home LSD test kits. I am not in anyway associated with them, but I met them a few years back at a conference and they seem to have a good scientific background as well as reputation.

I've not used them, but they claim to be able to gauge the strength of LSD and many other substances.

I'm definitely investing in this soon.

I've had vials range from 2.5-10mL, and one vendor specifically had mass produced vials, I ordered maybe 10-12 over the course of 2 years, and each time they would have slightly less liquid in them, but be more potent. It was obvious that evaporation was to blame, I was pretty tight with this vendor and had asked them about it, they started putting out warnings about the dose being "in a range between ___ug and ___ug" because they realized they didn't actually know the dose anymore.

I stumbled across a discussion on Reddit a year or two ago about the strength tests and the consensus seemed to be that they weren't very reliable but I don't remember the context of the discussion and you never know with that place. Looking forward to hearing how you get on with it.

How consistent do people find dropper bottles? I've always found them a bit sketchy especially with high strength solutions and the size of a "drop" seems a bit difficult to quantify. When I make my own solutions I always make them much more dilute for easier dosing. Usually 50ug/ml.

I've found them to be incredibly consistent compared to blotter but mildly less consistent than gel tabs. I often use vials for LSD eyedrops, and vials have consistently offered a potency on par with gel tabs that blotter simply never holds up to. I'd say that the average drop of a vial or gel tab is between 2-4 tabs of blotter, at least where I am on the Eastern coast of the USA.

I would assume that the Redditors who claimed the quantitative tests were irregular were testing single tabs. In reality, making a slightly acidic saline solution that you infuse blotter into, and then testing a drop of that so it's homogenized, I imagine would be much more accurate. Variance in drop sizes was never very noticeable, but I did find that even in amber containers, infusing LSD into corn syrup or Torani syrup led to the LSD becoming damn near inactive immediately. Still don't know why, I assume that I somehow accidentally isomerized it into the inactive compound iso-LSD, but I'm not sure exactly how that wouldn't worked from a chemical/mechanical standpoint.

Never got the eyeball thing. I used to work with someone who liked putting blotters under his eyelids proper weirded me out when I have a hard enough time getting my contact lenses in and out

Oh I grew up wearing colored contacts pretty frequently, so putting saline in my eyes is a very normal feeling thing. I'd never put blotter in my eyes, but extracting LSD (which is water soluble thankfully) into a small amount of saline, I'd almost certainly do for eyedrops if I couldn't access liquid LSD.

Edit: The trip with ocular administration is significantly different from other RoAs, it's maybe 6-8 hours and far more visual and intense feeling, whereas other RoAs are more like 8-12 hours for me.

The bottle WAS about 80-90% full when i got it. I guess there’s only one way to find out? Or could reagent test show concentration? Never done reagent testing, something i need to get familiar with. I also have microdose shrooms and some San Pedro microdoses as well. Want to start adding these in to my daily regiment.. i was told to dilute in water but again something im not familiar with only mushrooom microdosing. I keep the L in amber bottles there about 1ml bottles with a tiny dropper as well as in the fridge. Mushrooms are in honey kept in a dark place.

Yes the vial was made to dilute in water, a drop at a time and then dosed daily for micro-dosing. I’m going to reach out to my source and see if they remember but it’s been years since it was obtained. I wish it had ugs on it so then i could know the contents. Maybe worth getting new as i dont want to end up losing my face in an untimely matter. I appreciate trying to figure this out with me. Could the test kits check for purity or is it more of just confirming the substance?
