I fantasize about killing people all the time. I enjoy violent media. I dream about killing people. I plan out ways to get away with murder. Help, it just keeps getting stronger. Sometimes I think about just killing random people other times people that annoy me. I play with knives and injury myself purposely.

Are you having problems with a specific thing in your life atm. How old are you? What part of this do you find enjoyable - the actual killing or the control over another person? Stressful situations, the perceived (or actual) loss of control over a certain problem/stress in your life can lead to violent thoughts. Some people use self harm as a way of masking emotional pain while others use it to draw attention to themselves (many other reasons).

I can only suggest that you talk this over with a professional.

I would call 211 to get you some help and see a psychologist for this.......Don't just let these words bounce off of you....Absorb them and get help......You have already set yourself up on here so I don't think you'll be getting away with it.....Please just get help for this.....No innocent people should have to die because you dream about killing people....And depending on what state your in and state of mind you could get the death penalty. I'm just trying to advise you that it isn't worth the lives you'll destroy including your own.

Hey bud. Sorry you're having a hard time with your thoughts and behavior. Have you tried talking to someone? It sounds like your issues would be a bit overwhelming to deal with on your own. That being said, you took a step in the right direction posting here.

The fact that you posted here asking for help eliminating these negative thought loops is a pretty good indicator, at least in my untrained opinion, that you wouldn't actually hurt someone. It does sadden me that you self-harm. From what I understand, self-harm is a cry for help.

Please seek help from a doctor, as they will be able to pinpoint what is causing you to think like this. Again, I'm not a doctor, but any number of things could be causing this: OCD, depression, etc. We could speculate all day, but not arrive at any helpful conclusion since we don't know your eating/sleeping habits, any recent changes in your life, preexisting conditions, drugs you are taking (both illicit and prescribed and their interactions), etc. I hope you're able to get some help soon and are feeling better!

This is so much better advice than mine....Promise...

Thanks, I'm contemplating joining the army.

I would seek help........I don't think that's such a good idea...It depends on what your motives are for going into the military.....I would suggest getting this out to a therapist....I'm not trying to say your a natural born killer.......I just want you to be delivered from this cause it's bothering you......And plus my dad was in the military and it ain't a cake walk....You have to do what they tell you...If they tell you to jump off a bridge you have to or they will push you.....My reason for wanting to go was college......and just having a legacy. But hey.....talk it out here and please seek help for this....I don't wanna hear that you killed anyone and I'm not trying to sound like a A hole. I'm just concern with the temptation......

Same in the US (strange as that may seem). There was just a huge story about it actually. Sociopathic "enjoyment" of killing in someone's fantasies would be enough to disqualify him/her.

OP, have you talked to anyone IRL about this?
