Ok guyz...I really think Im getting addicted to coke. I mean Ive been doin it alot now for about a month.(Ive done it like 4 timez b4 that) I especially need it in the morning b4 I goto work cuz I gotta another job(I have 2 jobs now) and I have to be there at 6:30AM....which is crazy for me...I usually do some key bumps during the day(but not alot)..and usually at night(sometimez alot)..I really think Im gettin addicted...Itz like I know I can live without it...but it has become a regular thing for me now...I go thru like maybe 1 1/2 maybe even 2.. grams a week(which I dont think is that bad) but who knowz(im 18)..Im sometimez kinda shy so I love the talkative feel...and especially love how I can have sex for along time on it..and Im tryin to lose weight as well....Does anyone have any suggestions on how to help me cut back!!!!!????
Pleez help me out here !!!!!!!

You don't need anything, espicially to get you going in the morning. Just proper food, rest and exercise will make you feel better.
If you really NEED something to get you going i suggest you find other legal alternatives. Red Bull is fun to go to work on, and so are yellow jackets.
You don't need anything to get you going. Everytime you find your self needing a bump think of something else, like all the money you're spending on it.
I'm not sure if this helped or not...best of luck.

Quitting coke was one of the hardest things i've ever had to do, and it took me two seperate times to quit for good. If you can stop now that would be the best thing, stop before you end up getting further into it. The more you do it, the more you need it...The first few days are the hardest. I pretty much had to dissasociate myself from the crowd i used to get skeeted with. For the first few days I was a chain smoking fool..i felt really depressed, anxious, I couldnt sleep...miserable. But each day it got a little more tolerable. Today I still frequently have the urge to do it, I feel like that craving is an undying one, it takes alot out of me to fight it. As for doing it to loose weight or become more sociable, why not try exersizing or loosing weight the healthy way? Coke won't help you with social problems, it will only make things worse. In the long run you could end up in debt and with a really shitty chronic sinus problem like myself. Best of luck.

thankz for replying! Someone cares!
XchiN..actually I do drink RedBull on the way to work as well! I have to have 2 RedBulls a day to function properly..I KNOW FOR A FACT IM ADDICTED TO RED BULLS....but anyways...last night I bought 1 gram of coke. Hopefully that will be my last time....

stop talking like such a victim and stop blaming yourself and your substances. if you buy coke and snort it, enjoy it for god's sake. it is a luxury to be able to have it. don't do it for the guilt rush. if you drink a lot of RB, then you're probably being a little more productive. don't be afraid of your drugs, be their master. this is said out of love.........

This may sound stupid, but if you wanna lose weight without excercising you should try smoking more ciggarettes. I had read once that smoking more can bring on weight loss.

if you need drugs for that extra something in the mornings to get you started, try amphetamines. i had a pretty regular ritalin and aderol habit for a while during last semmester and it worked great in the early mornings.

its mostly mental.... shit, every 9-5'er is "addicted" to coffee.. if u truly think u have damaged your dopamine systems however, it will probably return to normal after TIME... but a dopaminergic drug "might???" help- i have only HEARD that wellbutrin might help certain addictions... can anyone clarify??

Channel Zero...the reason why smoking more ciggies helps weight loss is because it speeds up your metabolism therefore burning more calories. Anyways, i think coke addiction is more mental than anything...so hang in there and tell yourself you can get up for work in the mornings without a few bumps. drink coffee, or run around for more energy

and make sure that you start getting your body on somewhat of a regular schedule (which i am sure is hard with two jobs) and eat healthy!!

I can relate. Went through 1-2 thousand dollars worth of coke in about a six month period. My biggest problem with the drug was the cash I was spending. And, the depression when coming down came in a close second.
I finally, went to a substance abuse counselor. After a few sessions I concluded that was a bigger waste of money than the coke. So, I came up with the most fucked up treatment plan for quiting coke ever designed. And, I'm going to share it with you.
Go buy 2-3 vials of K. Everytime you want a bump of coke, take a bump of K. Once in K-land you'll forget all about wanting coke. Now, here's the beauty of this treatment plan. You can't do K the way you can do coke. After a couple of days, you'll be so green and feel so sickly you won't want a bump of any drug again for a very longtime. Yes, I really did this, and I haven't bought coke since. I've done a line here, or there when offered, but that's it. The only drawback is trying to function at work while high on K. Can't help you with that one. I'm not sure how I did it myself.
Last word of advice. Stay away from meth once you get of coke. After all that, now I'm a meth head. Still, I'm not too troubled by this. As I said, my biggest issue with coke was the money, and crystal is pretty fucking affordable.

Getting addicted to K...losing all touch of reality...not knowing if you exist...
Replace a cocaine addiction with a ketamine addiction...real smart.
It may have worked for you, but some people will actually (REALLY) like the ketamine. They (like me) might like it more than cocaine.
Cocaine addiction is psychological. If it's that bad, you should just try to wean yourself off of it. Take less, cut it more, etc.

You're making up total excuses for yourself. You've been using it for a month. That's not a lot.
If you know better than to do it, then stop doing it and stop whining.
People like you make legitimate drug addicts look bad.

Coke is one of the few drugs we know a shitload about. Coke temporarily changes the chemistry of your brain if you use it frequently. The temporary change will last 2-3 years and you'll never be quite the same (but not quite the same is good for many). It does physically alter your receptors.

It is easy to dismiss cocaine addiction as purely psychological but it doesn't do justice to the reality of it. There was one study I read that in chronic cocaine users, an increase in a certain protein in the brain was noted. The protein increase lasted for years in some cases and caused a continual and strong craving for the drug during abstenence. By the same logic, love for your significant other is only psychological but still more real than most things in life. And for those people who only occasionally use it and label it as a willpower thing, try using it a couple times a week for a good while and see what happens when you try to quit.

first of all do not try to replace a coke addiction with k. i use to have a 1-2 gram a day k habit and unlike coke you cannot function on it.
if you are trying to lose weight avoid red bulls at all cost they have almost 1 oz of pure sugar in a single can and that is converted into fat once it enters your body. avoid drinking them, sodas, juices (ie apple and orange) and alchol. any drink wether they have sugar directly or indirectly pack on the weight quickly.

I couldn't disagree more! My addiction to coke was just as much physical as it was mental. Binging on it for days and doing it all the time pretty much robbed me of the ability to feel joy from normal activities..This inability to feel good without it drove me to do more and more. THis was not a mental thing. I seriously felt like shit, worse then ever, on my comedowns. I know i didnt make that up in my head..I definitly have done a drastic change without it, I haven't been the same since. I've created alot of problems that I consider to be biological in basis. To this day I still feel somewhat empty...still can't get really happy or excited about many things like i used to. but i did the damage, now i gotta deal with it.

RED BULL
Oscar, I have to disagree with you about Red Bull having pure sugar.
There is no such thing as 'pure sugar'. Sugar is a general term for describing a variety of sugars. There's fructose, glucose, and sucrose to name a few. You are right about excess sugar being converted to fat. However, this is more true for a sugar like fructose than for glucose, or sucrose. Fructose, is converted to energy very quickly. So quickly in fact, that the body can't use all of it right then so it stores it in the form of fat to be used another day. In contrast, sugars like glucose and surcrose break down much more slowly, and depending on your metabolism, may not be converted to fat at all. Long distance bikers and runners usually drink a solution of water and glucose because of it's long burn time.
If memory serves me correct, Red Bull is sweetened by surcrose. Not as good as glucose, but not as bad as fructose. Almost any drink you buy is sweetened by fructose, because it's cheap to make. Anyway, this is probably the selling point of the drink for me. You avoid the rapid pick me up and subsequent sugar crash. I mean it happens, but doesn't have the type of spike that fructose does.
I can't say whether, or not Red Bull would be a helpful diet aid. It probably would if for nothing else because caffine and taurine would surpress the appetite. What I can say is that insofar as sweetened drinks go, this is probably one of the best choices if you don't care for the artificial sweeteners in diet drinks.
Peace

spoilvw - after a month of using 2 grams a week, that would be what, 8 or so grams total? 2 grams a week is nothing, and in my eyes does not merit an addiction. i could never understand the cocaine addiction. this is coming from a person who can suck that shit up like a hoover, yet always walks away. i admit i enjoy it when i do it, but i don't worry about it when i don't have it.
what i see in your case is just like what happened with a friend of mine, let's just call her Luna. she wanted to lose weight more than anything, which she did. she went from 140lbs to about 100 in a few months. she convinced herself she was addicted, but i know she was just looking for an excuse not to care, and she found it. her use increased to the point she had a credit limit with her dealer. she only went to work to pay him off, and sometimes on pay day she would go to see him, and then drop by my place to celebrate. on one occasion, a certain individual who was at my place turned her on to freebasing, which she liked all too much. i cooked for her once after that, but knew it would lead to something much more than she could handle. some people want to become addicted. and if after a month, with only 8 grams through your system, Luna's story could be just like your own. looking for an excuse, a way out.
i am in no way attempting to flame you, but i just can't see such a small amount over that much time being any type of problem.
