I started taking some vitamins a few days ago and i just realised ive been taking among others b6 250mg 3 times in 40 hours. Its been 14 hours since my last dose and im getting tingling sensations all over my right leg for over 2 hours and a little tingling in my hands and in the other leg too. What should i do please help

"The maximum safe dosage of vitamin B6 is 100 mg. Both for adult men and women. Higher dosages are too much for healthy people.

Teenagers and children shouldn’t get more than 30-80 mg of vitamin B6 a day, though. The maximum safe dose depends on age."

I am certain that you should keep on with that regimen of yours for quite a while to cause any issues. I would bet tingling has no association to B6 or that the sensation will pass-tingling associated with acute niacin consumption is just a function of healthy/normal/safe effects niacin has. At least in most cases. I have also done nicotin acid "overdose" once, it kinda scared me a bit but I was fine after all.

This is anxiety nothing more nothing less. There is no way you have overdosed on b vitamins. Drink water like others have said lol

Drink water. B vitamins are water soluble. You'll piss them out in hours.

Otherwise, I can't say since you didn't say what you been taking otherwise lol

You gotta take like twice that in 24 hours for it to become a problem. Like others said, just drink water and flush it out

Yeah last time I scored some b vitamins I ended up hospitalized.lol
Yea drink lots of water, B6 is notorious for nerve problems if you take too much for your body.
Shove your tard lol's up yer ass
You guys have no idea what relief i felt when i rode your comments. God bless you all and whoever created this website. Im still feeling the symptoms just as i was feeling em when i posted this thread but every other source freaked the shit out of me and you made me laugh at myself. Even if its a real threat im glad im relieved from anxiety lol

Pretty much just look up recommended dosage first before you take any vitamin supplements, because as with everything it's the dose that makes the poison, and you can indeed have too much of a good thing.

Also unless you have a diagnosed deficiency / specific health needs or your diet is very inadequate, there is no real need to supplement vitamins. It's generally best just to incorporate more of the foods containing whatever specific nutrients you want into your daily intake.

Im learning that the hard way

You didn't really take enough for there to be a problem, as others have said. The tingling sensations you experienced are likely unrelated.

Anyway, the best dietary sources for B vitamins are meat and fish (especially liver), good quality dairy products, eggs, green leafy vegetables, wholegrain bread and beans.
