the song "teenage wasteland" by the who is like a main song in a movie but i can't bring to mind what movie it is. But it is driving me insane. could someone please help me out with this???
 
The song is actually called Baba O'Reilly, not "teenage wasteland" as commonly thought. Looks like it was used in American Beauty previews; I do not recall if it was in the movie itself. It's also on the Who movie The Kids Are Alright
 
American Beauty comes to mind for me also.

and i don't think it's taboo to ask for movie IDs here. :)

Trivial fact : it was also used in House, MD. I downloaded it after hearing it there, good stuff.
 
actually a version of the song named Teenage Wasteland was composed by the Who on an EP by Dirty Halo in 2004 but yes the original version was named Baba O'Reilly...but they are the same song lol even the guy who wrote it did a version of it by the name Teenage Wasteland. Just so you know i don't really know that much about music ---> www.allmusic.com . But i figured out the movie...its Breakfast Club lol and to thing Breakfast Club wast driven me insane lol
 
You mean Dirty Halo remixed the song or whatever and used the wrong name. It wasn't ever called Teenage Wasteland by Pete Townsend (the guy who wrote it) either. :)
 
It's actually a precursor to Baba O'Reilly.

It is divided into two CDs of demos of songs such as "Teenage Wasteland" -- that later evolved into "Baba O' Riley" -- with somewhat different lyrics -- at one time an instrumental conceived as a different song altogether.

Baby O'Reilly and "Teenage Wasteland" are not the same song. I stand corrected about a song never being called that, but they are different tunes with Teenage Wasteland never appearing on a movie soundtrack.

that song is *not* in breakfast club....at all... ever.... for any reason
