I know everyone hates em, but why not a few banner ads?

Hell, throw up 10 of them. I see them so much nowadays that I can filter them out without even trying. Since its a drug site, probably the only ones that will advertsise will be porn, but so what?
Given the option of no bluelight (AGAIN) or bluelight with a couple porn banners, I'll take the porn. I always help support sites I like by doing a few click-throughs at least every couple days. Reading a few porn ads isn't gonna kill me.

i was thinking the same idea....sounds good to me...
i mean its an easy way to support the site..and i don;t mind looking at banners...they are everywhere...just like bill boards...you know they are there, but you don;t notice them
 
The problem is that they don't really generate much revenue. Maybe a few $ a month. Mostly because people tend to ignore them.
We've got banner ads on the pill reports section and we get very few click throughs.

I'm sure the traffic on the main discussions page is easily 10x, if not more. And as long as everyone understands-> click the banners, or no more bluelight, I'm sure it can't hurt

Well if anyone could recommend any good banner ad affiliate programs please post them here.
About the best I've seen is 10c a click. We would need more than 3000 clicks a month at this rate to pay for the server we need

If anyone has any experiences with banner ad companies could they either e-mail or post here. In particular I'm interested in wether or not they actually do pay up anything.

If we have a banner and every member when visits here clicks on it at least once when they come it will help pay for a faster server, it only takes bout 20 seconds of your time, not even, just open it in a second window if need be, otherwise we will have a slow server and ull spend 10 minutes trying to do shit instead of that 30 second click thru !!!!!!!!
