I keep drawing blood but when I push down it hurts and I get a lump

So I have a spot that I tried using and everytime I pull back the rig starts filling up with blood ( looks a little lighter color then usual ) but then when I push down it hurts and I get a huge lump and almost no feel of the dope... How am I missing if I'm drawing blood and I'm certain in not in the vein then pushing through or anything

The only explanation is that your pushing through or pulling out just after you pull back... Just try to breathe lightly and be as careful as possible so you remain in the vein...

I'm not pushing through or anything cause I keep pulling back to check and it start filling up again

That's strange. If your actually in the vein, this shouldn't happen. Its probably what madmike said. Sometimes in registering you actually pull the rig back. Maybe try a different vein, try resting your hand that you are holding the rig with on your arm(or wherever) firmly to prevent pulling out. I have this one vein that's a pain in theass. I register, then I start to inject and I accidentally push through. If its a really small vein the odds of it happening are much higher.
