polaris is probably one of the most feel good bands there is.. i think the beetles would be one of the top bands people would pick for their feel good nature. a lot of newer rock and indie is kind of dark. i know the beetles can have some kind of dark feel to some people, but it's generally very musical and positive... like polvo is my favorite rock band, but polaris has something going on in these three songs that is just amazing pop writing unlike anything else... this shit is so fucking chill.. i always thought "waiting for october" and the theme song from pete and pete "hey sandy" were the best song, but i just remembered "recently" and that song is amazing... it's about being alone but not feeling lonely, and it really sits well with me:

this one is supposedly about the end of the world. seems like the dude is pretty serious writing it to me, but i just generally like insanity, so like to picture it that way.. definitely have read it's about the end of the world though. lol:

i always talk about how culture should just keep using all the stuff from the early 1900's to 2012 or 2060 time... like a reason why they should keep pete and pete around is for when or if we get so inbred that no one has red hair anymore.. it will be like a show with dinosaurs.. plus it was a really good show... i always say i'm gonna stop talking about this living in a simulation stuff, and just wait till i write all my ideas down in one place on a website that people can choose to go to instead of me forcing stuff down people's throats that don't want to be reading it on BL... but i think there's so much potential with what the world could be if we can get control over some of the bad stuff. it's just a feel good subject.

like the gumby theme song from the 60's is crazy too. i definitely wrote this a ton of times on BL, but going to the video store with my parents to get gumby tapes in pre school is definitely one of my first memories. like being confused about what the video store was and how going there to get something that would be played on t.v. at home was mind blowing to me that i can still remember it as an adult. they turned the video store into a restaurant that i got to go to again after not going there for years as a teen/adult and there is this spiral staircase in the back that would go down to the bathrooms, and i just remember everything about it perfectly.. and gumby is mind blowing cause kids have playdough and it's like "wtf" for kids to see... can't get enough of how the harp is kind of like the spooky music in "are you afraid of the dark" the horror kid's show on the channel nickolodeon. it's so fucking weird... they should always have muppets too. lol.... anyways, i hope just writing on reddit/blue light gets people to realize how important having something like a video store is for kids, and they actually change what's going on for some type of stimulation... i know this is the music thread, but i'm thinking about setting up different contienents and not having a way for the general public to travel to other places. you could show everyone different art and music growing up, and see all the different ways people make art and music from what they were exposed to. i think that would be a really good use of humanities time... like eventually they could take some people out of their simulation and show them all the art through out history and that all the different other parts of the world are creating. it'd be like a secret society. i think it's hard to get people to work secretly with the goverment, people will always want to expose it, but if there's a good enough reason to have a secret society and study people, maybe people would get into it.. i guess my talking about the simulation goes on blue light music discussion because i'm talking about how people should study and be exposed to music in the future.. not the general theme of this part of the board... any mods of this section of the site or the bigger mods that run the whole site can tell me to just keep it to the general discussion.. i mostly just want to talk about my love for pete and pete's music.. just showing the show to people in the future might be a good idea, and i think it's funny people might not have red hair. lol

the first video in the thread is the new pete and pete song i'm into most... if you liked the show as a kid and remember liking the theme song, someone's got to want to remember that.
