I did search before asking this

There is no easy way to view comments to your posts. You can view the threads you have posted in by subscribing to them when you post (you can auto-subscribe in your settings), and any new posts will appear in your User CP--The new posts won't necessarily have replies to you in them.

There is a way to search for quoted posts by you... Give me a bit and I'll post back. Back! :P

This thread, especially posts #5 and #6, should help you: suggestion we shoulg get messages when someone quotes something we said in a post :)
 
^I'm not 100% positive, but I think thread subscriptions start from the point that you subscribe to them, not all that you have posted in ever. In other words, the User CP would be empty until he makes some posts after setting up the thread subscriptions. Again, I'm not 100% on this though, so I could be wrong. (One of those rare occurrences ;))

That is correct, however it is a good practice to start from now on.
