I can't stand my family's racism

My parents and grandparents are/were racist as well. You'll never change them. Just ignore them, or keep them as examples of how not to behave.

my parents are islamophobic, i just know not to get into any form of debate where the matters of politics or religion are concerned. full stop
if i am around them talking about it or watching videos about things that i find offensive, i try to politely ask them to put headphones in, or i remove myself from the environment
cant teach old dogs new tricks, ive certainly tried.. if its getting to the point where they bring it up when they are around you, tell them how it makes you feel, if they cant respect that, reduce the amount of contact you have with them
