Hypothetically would 10g of diazepam powder dissolve in a 250ml bottle of vodka?

yes 10 grams, so then it would be a 40mg/ml ratio, would be easy to dose 10mg with just a 0.25ml

I havent got 10 grams, wouldnt know where to get it, was just wondering whether that much powder diazepam could possible dissolve in 250ml of vodka

not a date rape or a life ending scenario, just ive heard that powdered diaz is cheaper if you buy in bulk, so instead of taking pills every day for anxiety, if i could get hold of some powdered diaz, i would probably dissolve it and then use a pippette to measure out my dose.

p.s. also 250ml bottles of vodka are very common and easy to buy but i dont see many 500ml bottles and 1litre bottles are only available at certain stores

It isn't badly priced, if you are prescribed it. I get it for panic & anxiety attacks.

If you are asking if 10g of Diazepam would dissolve into the 250ml vodka and be proportional I think the ratio of the drug to ml of vodka would be high and thats considering it is evenly distributed.

my math maybe wrong here but thats my take

in the sake of harm reduction, i say no.

i advise you not to do this. take your drug as prescribed

Yes, according to Wikipedia diazepam will dissolve in alcohol. My only question is how much diazepam will that much alcohol be able to contain.

My first thought in the sense of harm reduction is benzos + alcohol = no! But if you dissolve the diazepam correctly and are careful measuring it out and use a accurate tool to get the alcohol you should be fine. Since a shot glass is usually 1.5 oz, there is 44.3595 ml in one shot of alcohol I don't feel you would consume enough alcohol to interact with the benzos in a negative way if you used the right dose. But hell if you did say three shots of that mixture, then I think a bezo and alcohol blackout would be the least of your concerns, I think a massive valium over dose would be your main concern.

This is actually a very safe way to dose benzo powder. And also, who is prescribed Diazepam powder lol?

FWIW, I had a lot of trouble dissolving 200mg of Alprazolam powder in 100mL of 70+% Isopropanol. I tried this repeatedly and it was very difficult. Not the same solvent/solute, but similar. Propylene Glycol is probably a better bet.

maybe diluting it into a whole litre of vodka would make more sense then, less margin for error with dosing, but if i wanted to travel then id have to carry around a huge bottle with me :\

I hope you don't intend on carrying around grams of Diazepam when traveling haha :)

Also, you could still fit 2.5g in the 250mL bottle, assuming it all dissolves.

maybe i should have posted in ADD about the solubility of pharm grade diazepam and phrased it a lot more technically

and i dont plan on taking it travelling around the world, just i mean to mates houses when i end up staying over, or weekends away. Although i could just take the amount i need in a smaller bottle

Most info I can find is basically this:

Chloroform : easily soluble
acetic anhydride, Ethanol : partially soluble
Ether : hardly soluble
Water : almost insoluble

I'd pick a different solvent, or at least a higher concentration of Ethanol. If you don't want to drink it, use gelcaps or evap the solution.
