I heard this really nice electronic/ambient track on a Travel Channel show called Amazing Waterfront homes. This is so perfect for my taste: it's groovy, jazzy and hypnotic at the same time, but not overwhelmingly spacy and slow like some ambient. It's got a great bassline, tempo that's not too fast, not too slow, the synth is hypnotic, and there's good guitar parts too.

Sorry for the voice over, I recorded this from a Travel Channel show, and don't have the technical know-how to remove it, but you can still hear the track pretty good in the background with headphones on. The track occurs twice, so I placed a small gap in between repetitions.

Please listen to the track and if you can identify it, good. How would you classify it (e.g. ambient/house)? Give some suggestions to some electronic music that sounds real similar (especially that fading synth that begins the track). A groovy bassline, and guitar parts are welcomed too.

^^ Thanks for your input. However, I am looking for something a little less atmospheric. The peripheral sounds shouldn't be too "messy" and flooded with layers. It should have a similar EFFECT to smooth jazz: smooth and just slightly dancy, makes you want to take a relaxing night drive.

Think of something that would be acceptable on a TV show, or something more along the lines of Sirius radio's "Chillout" station.

i didnt listen to your link, but i'd prolly consider stuff from Alex Cortiz to be lounge. i love this kinda shit.

Excellent. This is the only suggestion that even came close, and you didn't even listen to the link!

Those resonating soft bells are one of my favorite touches to this track. This track will be added to my night-time cruising playlist.

More like this please.
