I know this has been discussed before, but I thought that some real life data might be interesting/useful to some of you
My friend started using hydromorphone injectable 3 months ago as a very opiote naive individual. Worried about tolerance she did some research and came across the naloxone/naltrexone microdose info. Naloxone was more readily availble to her so this is what this is based on. It took some trial and error to find the most effective dose, even a few micrograms too much and most of the high got reversed, too little and not much happened.
Stats: 200 lbs 5ft 5
uses hydromorphone 3-5 times per week as an IM injection
naloxone 16 ug combined with hydrom injection
With this combo she has been able to consistiantly get a very good high off of 2-3 mg hydromorphone each and every time she uses it!
Also, she experiences no withdrawal at all - not sure if this because of the naloxone, or the low doses used.
It has only been 3 months, but with the frequency of use I think that this is very promising.
I dont know if it would be of any benefit to reduce tolerance for people , but it definately is stopping it form progressing.
