hydromorphone redosing

is redosing micro amounts of hydromorphone dangerous? like .5 every other hour until reaching a dose of say 1mg-2mg? i’m struggling to taper and just wanted to make sure it wasn’t stupid and i apologize in advance if this seems like a dumb question

Hospitals will dose like that in certain circumstances so I don't think it's unsafe. It was explained to me by the nurse that dosing like that keeps a steady level in the bloodstream. They do that with people in severe pain. Would there be any good come of using the method for withdrawal treatment? Doesn't seem as if it would. You'd just be keeping a steady level on board and the goal is to clean out your system. Not hardly a dumb question. Withdrawals suck on the best of days so there's nothing wrong with trying to think of ways to mitigate the suffering. Good luck to you!
