Hello everyone,
I'm prescribed 50mg Vyvanse capsules and I just had an appointment with my pain management doctor today and left with a script for 4mg Dilaudid. After dropping it off at the pharm and looking up info on it, a common problem I've seen a lot of people having is that it doesn't last very long. Also the most effective ROA that I've seen suggested is IV, which crosses boundaries I've set as far as my personal drug use. I dont really have a built up tolerance to opiates(The strongest I've had is fentanyl after a surgery once and promptly blacked out for a few hours.) but I would definitely say I do have a slight natural tolerance seeing as it takes 15 mg of hydrocodone for me to feel anything.
My question is since I can open my Vyvanse capsules and take it mixed in with a drink could I not crush the Dilaudid and put it in the Vyvanse capsule to make it last longer?
I dont know much about the mechanisms of capsules but it would seem like that would help and since I'm also prescribed Orphenadrine, which is known to be a pretty good opiate potentiator, I'm hoping that would make up for the slow release in small dosages part.
