Ok so my new script was written September 11th. Its for 10mg hydrocodone (Lortab) with 2 refills. Can i just go pick up my refill on October 7th? Or is it gonna be a hassle as if i were going to pick up #240 30mg ir oxycodones!?? And the new schedule for vicodin starts October 6th!! Btw i use a local mom and pop drug store as i was tired of the stares i got from the pharmacy techs at the chain pharmacies as i am a yong looking 35 year old man picking up a hefty narcotic scrip every month. Also i usually get 120 10mg percocet, but this month i was prescribed the vicodin AFTER i told my pm doctor the percocet dose wasn't working as good as it had previously. Go figure??? Anyway thats another issue in its self.

You probably will be able to, since he wrote in refills, but if the pharmacist decides to be a dick about it, since it is sch 2 now, he could make you go back and get another written script.

I didnt know vics were going to sch 2...thats ridiculous..should be OTC in my opinion!

Does the DEA just get whatever they want, at anytime? LOL

You will not be able to get your refill. The pharmacy will require another paper script. Just like oxies. This shit sucks. My doctor told me today that he will no longer prescribe norco for anybody anymore starting Monday. Closest he will prescribe is Tylenol 3. Fucking Government.

Yeah I swear the the DEA prefers you to go and get shit off the street just to keep dope dealers open.

Actually i just talked to a friend, i think i may be ok because the original script was written September 11th. With the 2 refills

Are you in pain management?

Yes but my pain management doctor is going to.move into a different field of medicine now because of this non sense. Doctors are getting scared of the government. He told me its not worth the hassle anymore.

It really seems this is what they are wanting, if they keep it up with pain pills, everyone WILL end up on H or meth.

something seems kind of fishy about this whole thing imo...I do know the CIA was directly involved in the drug trade back in the 1970s and 80s, makes me wonder if they are still involved, and wanting to get as many people on street drugs, keep the illegal money source coming in.

Ive always thought its very odd, especially after 9-11, the amount of H, coke, etc. STILL makes it in every single day, and makes it to its destination...that is ALOT of dope coming in and traveling around!!! In the many years Ive been doing H, I have NEVER once had my connection be out, and I know other people too, they are always holding...doesnt seem like the Govt is succeeding at the border at all...?

thats amazing, hydrocodone schedule 2, next Codeine will be. and thats fucking insane

Yeah its crazy..Shit benzos like alprozalam are only schedule iv and the addiction and withdrawal to that can kill you. I really believe they want us on heroin.

i just read a paper... Heroin Use DOUBLE in most US states this year... i wonder why. haha

The government makes so much money off illegal drugs it's ridiculous,Plus, they get to seize your home, car, money, assets etc....and they get the drugs back (which they put on the street to begin with) to start the cycle over with another dealer. Not to mention what a big business the criminal justice system is.In the state of NC they actually charge you $40 a month to be on probation, and they make you go to realapse prevention groups that cost another $50.Un fucking real. The state of VA charges you anywhere from $1 to $3.50 a day to be in jail. And a lot of jails and prisons nation-wide are privately run businesses partially owned by judges. It's in their best interest financially speaking to keep locking people up.I'm a legitimate sufferer of both chronic pain and acute panic disorder.I wonder how long it will be before my Xanax is schedule 2.My Percocet 10/325s already are and since I have no insurance 120 of them cost me $115 a month.Luckily 120 2mg Xanax is only $18 at the mom and pop pharmacy I go to.The big chain pharmacies are more than twice that much.It seems the government wants me back on heroin so they can lock me up again. It's enough to drive you to drinking (which they tax the hell out of too).Speaking of drinking,I wonder how many judges and lawmakers who put folks away for years for drugs everyday go home and have a few cocktails after work.

yeah sorry, i think it's pretty safe to assume you will need a new script every time you need a refill now. which sucks in more ways than one, there's of course the hassle of getting the script, but then you HAVE to wait the entire month to go back and ask for it, otherwise you look like an addict to the doc. when it was a schedule III most pharmacies would allow you to refill on the insurance date, which means you could your meds 5-6 days early.

Hydrocodone formulations dated BEFORE the date in which it's being rescheduled (Oct. 6th I believe) are suppose to be honored for up to a year or so after the change. I am absolutely certain of this as my doctor just told me this, giving me a script of 10/325 Norco with refills.

Reason why hydrocodone is schedule 2 most likely is because its the most common prescription written. And its also the most abused simply because its easy to get. It practically rains hydrocodone in America.

I disagree with that...starting around 2012, it became very tough to get ANY narcotics, even when going to an ER...the new pain pill laws were doing their intended job, it seems the Govt and DEA wont stop until ALL narcotics, even weak ones are nearly impossible to get!

Im being honest...Portugal is starting to sound tempting.

the new harsh pill laws is EXACTLY why theres a heroin epidemic. And they wonder why the fuck everyones on dope, cuz of the stupidity of the DEA and the laws passed making pills harder to get
