Opioids Hydrocodone question

I'm in the process of quitting but I wanted to see if anyone can shed some light on my reaction to hydrocodone. I have been taking anywhere from 25-35mg at one time and have been taking up to 10-12 a day. These are norcos. When i first wake up I could take 30mg and feel decent. I would wait about 10-12 hours to re-dose. If I waited 12 hours I would feel okay off of it again. If I only waited say 7-10 hours I would feel crappy. A little dizzy or just off. Its hard to explain. There is no euphoria. The only thing I can think of is that after my first morning dose I take straterra. So is the straterra effecting how I feel off the lortab? I don't feel good at all just crappy side effects and not the good stuff. I would think that taking it sooner rather than later would be beneficial as it would increase my blood levels of the medication but my experience is contradicting this. Thanks for any insight
 
in my experience, more is not better with hydrocodone. Also the longer you wait between doses the better, as your experience is teaching you. Once you start running doses together without letting your system clear, you're in for diminished returns.

Those pills have a lot of APAP in them. If you're taking that many, you may be bordering on liver toxicity. I'd recommend doing a CWE (Cold Water Extraction) to leave that nasty APAP behind. Search a bit, it's been discussed to death.

This. You feel the best in the morning because you're going from "0-60", or from a clear system to one saturated with opiates. If you don't wait long enough, you don't get back to "0" so it's not going to feel as good.

Redosing hydrocodone never worked well for me. It would just cause me to get more tired instead of more euphoric, so I would wait until the following day to use again, or at least take a nap before dosing again.
 
Thanks for all the insight. I actually stopped taking my straterra and strange enough it has made a difference. I'm still feeling weird without the straterra almost disconnected. Who would have thought straterra would cause some form of abstinence side effects? Anyway beyond that the other makes complete sense and i'm sure it has the majority to do with it. What range are y'all finding it most enjoyable even with a tolerance? I'm sure many can't take it anymore with their tolerance but if you can what gives you good effects? Thanks again all!

Man i wish i could still enjoy Hydrocodone.. i use 150mg's of oxycodone to get where i want to be.

Any time i attempt to get high on Hydros i always do a CWE. It seems like no matter how much i take i barely, if not at all, get a buzz.

I cant even remember what it feels like to be high on Hydrocodone :(
 
Yeah I hear that. I've lost most of the effects of hydro. I haven't used anything else in a long time and am trying to get off. Tolerance is a bitch. I always prefered the buzz from hydros when I could get one over oxycodone. Seems more euphoric. One exception is roxicet roxicodone 30mg they always hit me like a ton of bricks when I used to snort them. They were intense and cheap but lost that connect.
 
I love hydrocodone with such a passion, that I extract and freebase about 2 or three grams worth of it. These are the green beans

It’s a shit-load of pills, but I get such a glow from hydrocodone that I don’t want to switch.

Oxycodone is stimulating, being so use to sedating opiates like morphine and heroin... I can’t nod on oxy for the life of me, or I have to dose super high on it. It only jacks up my tolerance.
 
I tried this with CWE and then letting it crystallize by evaporation. I only feel slightly warm off of hydro at 35mg but I don't want to increase my tolerance by taking more i'm trying to take less to get off and hope to not be dependent on it. 180 pills a month is an awful lot to someone with no tolerance and would be heaven if its controllable and not taken every day. If only I was there!
 
I've been taking hydrocodone for months (about 6 now) and usually only 5-10mg per dose (6 hours)

Now, my pain got worse after a procedure for about a week and I was having to take 15mg which was the Max single dose due to APAP. I felt no buzz, and no real pain relief because it was MAJOR PAIN!

Anyway, now I get the weirdest thing. Whenever i take my morning dose I'm fine, but six hours later when I dose again I get a mild panic attack and dizziness. I'm wondering why this is happening.... 10-15mg shouldn't be a large enough dose (for someone who's been taking 10mg 3-4x a day for 6 months) so I can't be ODing (mildly) - kinda sucks because now I was upped to the 10/325s instead of the 5/325 so I could potentially take up to 30mg per 6 hour period. I really wanna try it but I'm afraid that ill freak the fuck out. Grrrr
 
I'm currently on Suboxone, but man i will never forget that warm glow that i used to feel everyday when i first started taking Hydrocodone. The feeling in your stomach is just amazing and relaxing. But it got to the point where i would have to take about 8 or 9 of the 10mg tabs to achieve the buzz i used to get off of just 15mg of i
 
Yes yes. I remember back 4 years ago all I need was 15 mg of hydrocodone 3 5/500 Vic's. no 4 years later I upgraded I'm on norco 10. Taking 4 pills at once. Use to be 3 in am 3 pm. But 3 don't get me high no more. So 4 we go. I will die on hydro I can't quit I relapse after suboxone which was heaven sent.
 
Plus taking all those Vic's or Hydros is HORRIBLE for your stomach with all that acetaminophen in them. I'm only 22 and already have a stomach ulcer. Probably from years and years of taking all that shit. And all the hot sauce i eat:)
 
Yeah I hear that. If I were you id start slowly. Take 2 instead of 1.5 if you choose to. Just sometimes for me I enjoyed a lower amount of hydro. 2 would be good for me at the beginning. Also keeping tolerance low is key when enjoying opies. Goodluck and thanks for your reply!
