I have been a chronic pain patient for 20 years. Worked down to max dosage of hydro (Norco) 15 years ago and stayed there . So here I am 15 years later living in severe pain because I don't want can't afford the hassel of scd II.
As I get older the pain gets worse and I am thinking that if Hydo is sch II I might as well get Morp or hydromorph.
Problem is the doc. I've been seen/prescribed hydro by the same PCP doc for 10 years. Simple checkup /bloodwork every 6 months no hassel. No message therapy, acupuncture, scans, or other b.s. the pain clinics profit on.
How should I approach this I don't even know if he can prescribe sch II.
This is in PA.
