i've used mostly lorazepam for 6 years and still not addicted to benzo's,
i write on calendar how often i take it and make sure my body gets enough "offtime" in between uses so it's receptors dont get dependent.
my fav benzo now is oxazepam, not just cause it gives a "clean" mental high, is excellent for anxiety and provides good physical relaxation but also due to it's intresting halflife.
oxazepam has no metabolites and its halflife is 6 to 11 hours,
if u take it one day it should be out of ur blood in 30 hours.. (unless u take high doses spread with too many hours in between)
1 week = 8x24 hours = 168hours
so i figure one can get away with taking a normal dose (2x7,5mg spread with about 4 hours in between) twice a week without getting physically dependent.
benzos with longer halflife u cant take as often cause it takes longer for body to clean itself + u need to add complete cleantime to make sure the GABA receptors go back to normal.
i really dont like anxiety, as do most other people who enjoy benzos,
so for this reason its superimportant not to be come physically dependent because your body will create rebound anxiety/insomnia if you over do.
if you play with fire .... better be careful
(in comparison, diazepam has a halflife of 20–100 hours (36–200 hours for main active metabolite),
so maybe you could only use like 10mg of diazepam once every two weeks if u dont want to get addicted.
if your body is never fully clean of the drug, how is the body not going to get dependent?)
melatonin helps for sleep if needed.. (if you take this stuff daily you might develop tolerance i think not sure)
ambien is good in case melatonin really doesnt help
but ambien works on some of the same GABA receptors that benzos do,
and if u wanna make sure not to experience rebound anxiety, insomnia or withdrawal i think its better to avoid alcohol and z-drugs like ambien
when using benzo's sporadically!!
sometimes a lack of protein/magnesium causes the body to tense up and create anxiety too.(careful, drink lots of water cuz this stuff flushes tru ur kidneys u dont want to create problems)
if only us benzo lovers could pop those benzo's all day long every day...

but as many before us hav found out it's not a good idea
