of the one i thought had none
im learning how to trust
im learning not to run
im learning to be brave
im learning to stand tall
im learning of respect
and the greatest love of all
im learning for myself
im learning about me
im learning to become
the one i want to be

thank you for that beautiful poem. i am a poet myself and was impressed by it, although i am not easily impressed by much of what i do read. anyway, a couple of friends and i read your poem (no, not while on any drugs, either!) and we held a long discussion just now that made me see how every human is interdependent. thank you for that inadvertent insight! :->
