I'm not sure how to navigate this site. I "came on board" yesterday, and spent a long time writing my intro. By the time I was done, my connection had timed out. Then I lost this post, and now I don't know where to go ....

I don't know where the newcomers section is ...

I don't know where the "I'm having a freakout" section is ...

In short, I did a rapid taper off a number of prescribed drugs: Lorazepam, Clonazepam, Adderal, and Sertraline ... and was doing just fine ... through much of the "white knuckling" until yesterday.

Yes I've read the Ashcroft Manual. No, I don't have a prescribing physician who will currently give me Valium. It's all a bit of a mess.

I seem to be stuck at Lorazepam: .5 to 1 mg. daytime, and the same for night, although last night was such a mess, I ended up taking one of the few Valium I have remaining (5 mg.)

Am looking for support and suggestions. Not sure where to post.

Me?

Longtime user of sedatives for anxiety and sleep. Did a detox off Xanax in facility in 1991. Should have known better.

Sometime later ... 1996? Xanax was prescribed again (for anxiety and sleep). So ... it's been a long haul, with my desire to get off ALL drugs being a thing of two years ... and circumstances both at work, and with psych providers having become more complicated.

Can I get support here?

Hi and welcome to bluelight :)

To stop the timeout drama, you can click the remember me checkbox when you log in, and you won't log out until you do logout. Or if you don't want to check that, if you are writing a long post, copy it (ctrl-c) before clicking submit, then if you have to re-login, you can just paste the tread (ctrl-v) :) and you haven't lost anything. Almost all of us have lost a massive post because of timing out ;)

The I'm having a freakout section is called The Dark Side: http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/forumdisplay.php?f=47

For discussion of all the pharmaceuticals that you are on (quite advanced discussion, and not really n00b friendly) you can go to Other Drugs, but if you do go there, please have a search through the current topics because likely, any question that you have to ask has been asked before about almost any combination of substances - or at least a very similar combination, or a similar substance, so almost all the information that you could possibly want about your current meds or similar meds can be found by doing a search :)

The support forum is for issues with your account, or the forum in general, support as in IT, not as in psych :)

Enjoy your time here :) if you want to know anything about the site, have an explore, we have tons of forums catering to many many topics. If you have any questions about specific fora you can contact the mods of that forum via PM. You won't be able to PM any non-staff (mods, senior mods and admin) until you hit bluelighter status, which you achieve after 50 posts.

Again, welcome :)

CB :)

Along with Other Drugs, you might find Basic Drug Discussion helpful as well. We specialise in combination questions there.

^Which is exactly where I am going to move this :)

Emma, if you click on "home" on the left side of the bar at the top of the screen, it will take you to BLs main page where all the forums are listed out. Most of the titles are pretty self explanitory, just have a look through any you think might interest you. Welcome to Bluelight!

Wow...there are alot of people in NMI :) Thanks for all the help guys and gals!! Welcome to Bluelight EmmaB....you might want to get yourself adopted in the NMI adoption thread. That way the sharks in the lounge won't have you for breakfast!!!

Hope you find your way over to where you thread got moved, here!

Welcome to Bluelight EmmaB :)
