Opioids How to combat dizzyness and nausea from hydrocodone?

Make sure to eat something when you start to feel this way. I know that's pretty basic, but it always worked for me when I would start feeling nauseous from hydrocodone.

What dose do you usually take, including the acetaminophen dose?

2-3 5/325mg hydro/apap.. tonight was 12.5mg Hydrocodone and 722.5mg APAP, I also took 25mg of Diphydramamine (Benadryl). I'd take 15mg or more but if I take that much I typically end up spending 6-7 hours throwing up and feeling like hell. It isn't worth the small amount of extra euphoria I get. I've been trying different poteinators/tolerance reducers. This was the first time I've taken any in over a year, I don't take them regularly.

Hmm, some people's stomachs just aren't cut out to handle it. I usually take about 7, 7.5/325 endocets and my stomach feels perfectly fine. I even try to take them an empty stomach as to hit me faster, with still no nausea maybe i have a hell of a stomach? haha

Also benedryl is the one thing that DOES upset my stomach, I would not take it to help!

Great ideas in this thread, especially CWE and laying down.

I've found the best way to dose opiates is to take them on a completely empty stomach (4 hours after eating), then to eat 20-30 minutes after dosing. That way, by the time you're finished eating, the effects will really kick in, and having something in your stomach will really help with the nausea.

If you smoke weed, a hit or two about an hour after dosing is a fantastic anti-emetic and a great booster (brings on the nod).

Haha, I do the exact same thing step by step.

Laying down does me a lot of good when I'm feeling nauseous from opiates. Things like meclizine will probably do some good, as well. As mentioned, eating right afterwards is a big help also.

Weed works great, as everyone has said.

Promethazine is also great, but its RX in the US. (not sure where you are from tho)

How about transdermal scopolamine... it works really good too, and its OTC, albeit a little expensive... trade name is Transderm-Scop. Toss a patch on 1-2 hours before dosing and you should be fine.
