so i bought a bottle of dramamine today im going to take it tonight in my room alone, most likely on my phone or laptop.

I'm comfortable taking drugs alone, i just want to know how many pills to take. their 50mg each?

Im very good at going along with a trip, no matter the strength, just wondering how many is a good amount, I dont wanna trip balls, but at the same time i dont want a slight buzz. I have a medium large frame, 6'1 175lb. I was thinking of taking 6-8 is that a good amount?
 
ye i read a lot about dramamine when i was in the high school legal highs phase

pretty much everyone said its a pretty hellish trip
 
Dramamine, the dimenhydrinate based original one, is basically caffeine plus diphenhydramine. it is useful as an allergy med and not really much else. As a deleriant is it pretty much 50% the strength of diphenhydramine.

Honestly, stop while you're ahead. DPH trips are just not worth it. At best people find them a distraction, at worst you spend the night sweating uncontrollably, freaking out about spider-bats flying through your walls, and generally acting like a fucking lunatic.

There's no such thing as a middle ground with DPH. You either get a boring buzz, or you go full on delerious. And to get delerious you need a lot of DPH.

7x50 = 350mg dimenhydrinate, which is like 3 Red Bulls and a single Unisom sleeping pill. - "Here's a nickel kid, go on and buy yerself some real drugs!"

Also - before this thread goes this way - there's no real time trip reports allowed :)
 
I submitted a trip report to erowid that hopefully will be published detailing a binge of 20+ pills/night for 5 days. Interestingly only once did I feel intense effects. It was just like every other experience...thousands of ants on the ceiling, spiders, shit growing out of my fingers, talking to people who weren't there, etc. Thankfully none of it scared me at all because I was too delerious to be frightened. Even though 3/5 doses nothing happened, when it did work it was pretty nuts.

Not that you said you were gonna keep doing it, but 2 days after my binge I had a massive spike in blood pressure/heart rate that I should've gone to the hospital for. This shit totally fucked my body up worse than anything I've ever done.

As far as I'm concerned dramamine should be reserved for very experienced psychonauts...

EDIT: never really answered your question...for ME the correct dose was 2 full tubes (24).
 
I took 11 pills. I had mild but funny hallucinations. I think I published a trip report on here. Will add the link later.
 
You said you're pretty good at going along with a trip, but diphenhydramine and dimenhydrinate are not your typical trip.
In high doses they can induce strong states of delerium, and from trip reports I've read from experienced psychedelic users who are confident in their abilities to ride bad trips out, they became terrified and unable to differentiate the trip from reality.
I wouldn't experiment with these drugs any further.
Check erowid trip reports for some of the horror stories associated with these substances
 
this thread prompted me into an hour's worth of reading dramamine trip reports on erowid.
you could not pay me enough money to take that shit over the recommended amount/it's original intent.

well last night, i was feeling pretty good, made me very tired. i was listening to music and i guess i started hearing voices. it didnt frighten me because i thought it was my music, but when i was too tired to listen to music i still heard them. I basically just fell asleep. gonna take the rest of my 5 pills now, and im going to buy some in the morning and take them at school.
 
Don't take Dramamine at school. People can tell if you're all doped out on antihistamines - they dialate your pupils and make you look like a zombie. And the last place you want to be delerious is in school. That's one place you should be able to think and interact with people.

By the way, sleepiness is a totally normal side effect of diphenhydramine and friends, because histamine levels in the brain are one of the things that determine wakefulness, or need to sleep. By blocking the effects of histamine, it makes your brain think you've been up for much longer than you actually have.

Go to school sober and skip the dramamine. Seriously, there are better ways to spend your money. And encouraging this kind of immaturity isn't really harm reduction. DPH and Dramamine are just not recreational drugs.

I'm closing this unless you can give a good reason to keep it open.
