How many started addiction from a Doctor?

Sorry if this is posted already. I can't find it. I'm just curious how many people are like me. I was never using drugs until my doctor started with oxy. Now she even says I'm an addict (as she's writing a 6 month script). I was a little pissed she said that, but she was right. Truth always hurts I guess. I was never told how sick I would get when I ran short. I figured I was taking them as prescribed so I was ok. Until I ran short last November and was dope sick for a week. So then I tried heroin Started buying hydro morph on the streets then got the mindset that I was an addict so why not try everything. That was fine until meth gave me flashbacks and paronia, now I'm just on opiates. But still an addict
I'm sure there are a lot like me. Not a user but the "legal" opiate got me hooked

I'm in the same position... N currently at home detoxing right now. I had cancer and was started on percs about 7 years ago. It's went down hill ever since. If I'd have known what I'd b like now I'd have dealt with all the pain through everything then what I'm dealing with now.
