SWIM tried meth for the first time and now I believe he is experiencing a comedown/withdrawl. He doesn't know what was going through his mind and he is terribly ashamed for trying it but he knows never to try it again he just wants to know when his comedown symptoms will go away. Pretty sure it was crystal because he said they looked like little crystals.
He started a thursday afternoon by buying a 20 bag and finished off the bag by the evening. He used snorting as his way of using and was up all night He then bought one more 20 bag friday morning and snorted and smoked this bag. At about 9 o clock on friday he smoked his last hit and it actually almost made his hand cramp up and he got scared and threw away what he had left. Three hours later he passed out and woke up about 9 hours later on Saturday. He was able to eat and pretty good meal and he only felt a little sick like a hangover but other than that he was alright. Now this is the crazy part....he went to a friends house to smoke some weed to get rid of the sick feeling because he heard it helps. He smokes weed a lot so he didn't think anything of it. He took a few hits and then all of a sudden he had a rush that was a 100 times more than what he felt before and he was having a panic attack because he didn't know what was going on. It was like the weed triggered the meth in his system but so much more intense. His body felt like it was going to cramp up. He rode it out though and eventually stopped feeling it. (Why did smoking weed do this? BTW) He even got to eat a little bit more. Come Saturday night SWIM was very tired and felt like he wanted to crash but for some reaon his body wouldn't let him fall asleep. He felt anxious and kept having "butterflies" in his stomach. He took two tylenol pm but they didn't help. He was tossing and turning all night until about 4 am and thats when he really felt awful. His body was aching and he felt a light feeling all over his body. He wanted to cry and had suicidal thoughts because he didn't want to be like this anymore and he was so ashamed that he did this to himself. He just paced for about two hours and did dishes to keep his mind off of the cravings. About 6 am he finally just crashed on his bed but woke up about 4 hours later. He felt a little better but he still gets these depressed feelings and light body feelings off and on but he thinks it might be getting a little better. He got to eat a bowl of cereal and got a little sugar in his system. I wanted to be detailed with his story so you can give an educated guess when he might stop feeling these symptoms. He will never do meth again. The though of what the meth can do to him is enough to help him try to ride this out. Thank you so much!
