How long will opiate addiction stay on your med records? (Canada)

Forever? Or only if you disclose it? I have moved away from the province where I was on MMT, but am now wondering if its the kind of thing any doctor or admin person could see when I go to see them. And if so, if that a permanent thing?

Just curious...sorry if this is in the wrong spot.:?

Patients have a right of access to their personal health information that is in the custody or under the control of a HIC, including any information that has been stamped or indicated as confidential, unless an exception applies.


In Australia; I think medical records are local to the practitioners office, unless you're referring to hospital records.
