I am prescribed 2mg clonazepam. I recently took 6mg one day and 6mg the next. First time I took clonazepam in a month. I have some left but want to save the rest for when I really need it for panic attacks and was wondering how long it would take for my tolerance to somewhat go down so that a 2mg clonazepam could help a panic attack.

Well half of it is just your mental tolerance no doubt about it at all

The brain can adapt to GABA very easily especially with something as light as clonazepam

If you want 2 mg to feel like 6 mg you're going to have to abstain for 3 weeks at least

Also for HR purposes remember benzos can be the devilr God knows they ruin my life

You have 0 tolerance.
@downsideup @Spaced I hope you are of age to be using this site, both of you.
You are talking about taking 6mg, 2 days in a row. Not to mention you had a month of abstinence before that. You have no tolerance, no physical dependence. 2 days does not raise your threshold. Let's go out on a limb and say it did ever so slightly, maybe you take 1 and 1/2. If you have a panic attack right this second I could bet with almost ceartainty that 2mg would stop it. Does anyone read the things they are responding too? I don't mean to sound condescending but, damn. It doesn't matter how much you are prescribed. Tolerance does not build in 2 days but through consistent use.
@Spaced For actual harm reduction purpose, @downsideup take your medication as prescribed. You must have a surplus because you haven't taken them as prescribed this month. You need not worry, you do not have a tolerance and in case you have to take them for medical reasons, "panic attacks", you should have plenty. 2 days of exaggerated use does not cause an increase in tolerance.

Oh shit 🤦‍♂️I missed the part where he said it was his first time I

I completely agree with you and all your advice towards the poster

Also it's completely on me for not reading the post properly and giving the wrong advice considering that could increase harm instead of reduce it

And good on you for correction me and my friend
I've been using benzos on and off for 10 years my dude. I've taken a near year break from benzos before and 2mg of clonazepam did almost nothing for me recreationally.
