I can't tell you how long G stay "good" for, but I have had some after it has been "shelved" for a year and it was perfectly dandy and strong. For storage: You can keep it either in a dry room temp. place or keep it in the fridge. It depends, do you like your cappers cold? Just don't let it sit out in the warm sun for a long period of time, it will change color and screw up its chemical form. Enjoy...........
