How is the current economy affecting YOUR drug use?

As a former daily opiate addict, I was wondering this today. How does the current economy affect your buying, using, etc?

I was given 100mcg patches a month or so back cause my guy couldnt sell them. Everyone wanted cheaper opies like hydro.... he owed me so paid this way. Cool with me..... but I wondered are ALL businesses suffering, or do you think that the illegal drug business will weather the current storm?

If you have found yourself having o cut back expenses, do you cut bac on drugs/partying or somewhere else?

For instance, I have a huge garden with some nutritious food..... and pretty bright red flowers. =D

Any thoughts on this? I would love to hear everyones response!

my drug use hasn't really gone down but i don't have quite the collection i used to. :\
 
It definitely has a huge impact on me. As a recent college grad going into grad school who just lost his part time job.. I will be quitting or cutting back tremendously at the least in the very near future but it I was planning to quit after college anyway but the economy definitely has something to do with it as I dont even go out and drink anymore for monetary reasons
 
Since I just moved back in with my parents, I no longer have any bills to pay...

I'm anticipating a huge spike in use from me, regardless of the economy. The black market is still the same as ever.
 
Well my parents haven't been making as much tips at work.. my mom waitresses/bartends and the tips are wayy down compared to normal.. and my dad got laid off from his truck driving tob.. so consequently I've been getting way less money for drugs.. kinda sucks..

I'm sure most people are still doing almost the same amount of drugs tho.. addicts are addicts u know?
 
Nothing different here so far as my financial situation goes... THough I noticed the last few months the drugs are really harder to comeby here, I don't know if its economy related or just another dry period in our city.

This is Canada man, we always have weed, always, everyone fucking grows weed here. And my city last month for an entire week was almost ENTIRELY dry of WEED. That really worried me, theres never a shortage of weed here, ever, but there was and people were freaking out.

This cities going to shit, the people, the crime is increasing, the drugs are of low quality and are becoming scarcer. Whoever control(ed)s the drug trade in this city obviously abandoned it and now it's being run by a number of amateur kids with shitty drugs and no idea how to distribute.
 
I know if I lost my job I would look seriously into growing weed for an income.
 
I quit my job and spent $700 on OC's since thenin three weeks span.

Ive noticed my dealers bags are getting bigger, i guess as incentive to buy from him. Kinda feel sorry for him, hes only making like 60-80NZD an ounce.. thats like 30 sales!
 
They still be out on the corner slangin that shit.

When people get down and out they turn to alcohol and drugs.


People are sad about losing their jobs, the economy goin in the crapper. So they look for ways to feel better. DRUGS AND ALCOHOL.
 
^ True, but I'm noticing LOTS of dry spells on opies.... One guy said that some people just cant afford the PM doctirs they get meds from, so hencce,, a dry spell.

I also noticed weed is getting hard as hell to get.
 
well shit. My income comes from my unemployment checks. Yea Im a 1st and 15th kind of girl (actual dates may vary lol)

Aannd...Due to the recession, and Obamas stimulus plan, Im now gettin a extra 25 dollars a week. And, i was suppose to get cut off from my checks ( you only get X amount before your shit runs out. mines had ran out, and they extended it cuz i qualified to get 6 more weeks outta it or some shit, but that one had ran out too, so i thought i was fucked.) BUT, becuz the economys so bad, they approved me for a SECOND extension of benefits. So, if anything i got more loot for drugs now. Considering all the documents I got that says "Lacey K vs. the State of New Jersey" on em, for once I get a lil love from the state. Thanks NJ. I <3 U
