quite frankly losing my memory at work is a good thing.. do you really want to remember all the words to musicals??? um in serious tho, no, i havent noticed any memory loss.

Myself, well once u've had a very high quality MDMA pill it is hard to forget, and when the lectures start to get boring my mind usually ends up thinking about that time. I only take pills during my big breaks and luckily I have just recieved some 5htp, I've post loaded with it but haven't tried preloading yet. Although I have noticed that sometimes I get a mild buzzing sensation in my head, like a real mild roll, has anyone else had this?

I did forget to ask about fitness levels
Im pretty keen on my sport at the moment and have noticed ,if i roll once it takes like four days to get back to semi fit again .Or am i just showing my age

This is more a question for my benifit. The first was for my curiosity as i dont use my brain

I though id ask people who do as they will notice it more than a stoner

I must say that after recently joining the work force with a well paid job i found that my MDMA experinces were going to hinder my progress.
As i am in training, i find it hard to remember everything i am learning of recent. There is a similar thread going on about the brotherly love thing where the guy doesn't want his little brother doing pills until he finishes school.
With the little study there is about MDMA neurotoxicity, there is large evidence that MDMA intake over a period of time has an impact on the short term memory on people.
How many of you regular pill munchers have trouble remembering something you did so vividly yesterday when someone asks you?
Or you easily forget names and shit like that.
While learning new things all the time on the job, i'm finding it hard at times to remember things i did 2 days ago at work!
I'm no stupid or an under achiever at school, in fact far from that. It's the big nights and excess MDMA intake over the years. Every now and then we need to all take a break, or keep the big nights to pecial occasions.
As i slowly ween myself off the regular "thing", i know i will see a marked improvement on my short term memory.
People whom i know that have munched for years and have given it up completely say it's part of the drug, and that staying off it for ages or completely is the only way to correct it.
This goes the same with the depression side of things that has been reported, but i haven't had all that much depression from pills, surprisingly even though ive had a 'scary' amount in my life time.
that's all......

Well to tell u the truth im not sure i cant remember...
Really i dont think it has any effect on the long term memory, if there is a memory loss it happens for a few hours after taking xtc.
I study Chemistry at Tafe and since i started using xtc my results havent really changed...

Pre loading with 5htp i didnt like it . i got some uncomfortable pain in the head with preloading. When my body says no i sometimes relent smotimes

ill only use it to post load now mabey it was your 5 htp? use
Studying Chem at tafe

I'm finishing a science research PhD, and am active with sport 3 weeknights and all day saturdays... I have noticed no degradation of memory or fitness levels (just financial levels).

I dont think its the pills that affect me so much at work as the lack of sleep. After a big weekend, I am still catching up on lost sleep on wednesday of the following week. Also the Tuesday / Wednesday after effects dont put me in the most efficient frame of mind for work - tired and hard to concentrate. Going out on Sunday nights is also a killer, but its just sooooo much fun. Best night of the week to go out.

White Smoke,
i could be a perfect test subject for you, i first dropped last july and at the time and i still am state champion in my weight class in the mens category for my chosen full contact olympic martial art (in case mum and dad are watchin i'm not telling).
I have noticed that training on monday after a roll on fdriday is hell, with me feeling like i'm going to have a heart attack and very short on breath, the actual muscle strength though is fine. By the end of the week though i'm fit and fighting again, although i'm probably suffering for sure, having to rely more on experience to get me through.
I also go to uni and at the time i started rolling was my final and hardest semester at uni, i was going out on average once a fortnight (maybe more) and i got the best results ever. Am rolling now almost every week, although slowing due to work load.
yeah well enough of my life story, as for memory loss, i'm pretty photograpghic, very much so, and well i've noticed no loss in memory at all, although last weekend i was forgetting peoples names and that doesn't normally happen. Friends though report memory loss. I'm shitscared of that happening and have sworn when i feel that i'm gonna stop.. *tell him he's dreamin*
Sorry for the rambling

I have found that I have gotten so... DUMB in class... i just cant concentrate and drift off to lots of thoughts.... I moved from the middle of 3U maths to bottom, then dropped down to 2U.. was doing ok, and now i'm rock bottom again.... and oooh.... the pains of being in yr12...
I also cant remember things as easily as before... like if i fully studied for an exam, the almost forget everything the day after

I have SHITE short term memory. but so does my mum...so I blame her, not the pills
wink.gif

I take ginkho biloba to help combat it though. Improves peripheral circulation

I have found there to be no loss of memory or fitness in my work and sport. Although I am cautious and do think about such things, which u may think I am paranoid for. There are certain responsibilities that i have at work which are to important, so I do pop in moderation. I cant think of any losses but I can think of certain gains such as I have a different outlook on things and are more tolerant of people I find. Same with anyone else?

I find I get bored very easily now..Im very hard to please also. Mondays can be pretty bad just drifting off into space looking out the window at work. And playing sms on the mobile takes on even more of a distraction.
But I have a photographic memory in regards to peoples faces...never fails.
In regards to sport I havent worked out at the gym since that fatefull night I took the fish...Am currently in process of resuming gym again this week, so I can be all buffed and sweat allover the girls when I rip my clothes off once again

I don't think my memory and thinking ability is really the issue...it certainly not the MDMA anyway..I find the lack of sleep (or bad sleeping patterns) as well as the way a big night seems to just take you out for a day or two is the worst part. I'd say it's really affected my life. I mean its not always bad but I find a bad come down knocks me around for a good few days ..as much as a week. I love pilling ..it's always something I want to do but the few weeks since gatecrasher has taught me that I can't let it become a way of life. Anyway thtas just a personal take...I don't want anyone to take any of it on board..
Bye for now.

I honestly think it varies depending on the person & how they approach the whole scene - (like common sense helps)I'm early 30's, hold a senior position in a public company, been popping reasonably regularly since my early 20's and still going strong.
Plus check out many of the top DJ's around the world a lot of them are in their 30's even 40's and have been pilling and God knows what else and R still going strong
As for long term effects? - Haven't noticed any - (doesn't mean there aren't any) Key is - I still love & live life to the MAX...

i've written off a semester of uni from drinking too much, and another semester and a half from smoking too much weed.
i find that the Es don't really affect my study at all, my work maybe, but then who cares about work?
also i've always been useless at remembering people's names, i've lived with people in student housing for 3-4 weeks before i finally worked out what their damn name is...

From my point of view, YES - taking chems has certainly lowered my brain capacity & physical strength.
Basically started taking trips & pot in '92, then started taking e's in '94. Introduced to speed in '95 and coke only last year (still have only tried it once). I haven't taken a trip since 95 (i think), but still smoke quite regularly (read every weekend). As to pilz 'n powder, I prolly indulge on average once/twice a month, only on weekends. I have just recently quit smoking (ciggies), but still feel quite tight in the lungs. This affects me because I like to surf big waves, and having small lungs, I need EVERY oxygen atom that I can get. I try to keep fit during the week, either by surfing, swimming or jogging, and take quite a few vitamins (multi, B, C, magnesium & Zinc). I just wish that there was something that I could take to keep my memory happening!

I find if I have a big weekend my memory is shot for at least the next week. However it is normally fine after the week, and I don't use a month prior to uni exams. I've been rolling fo 12 months now and kept up my B average (go Club Mac).
