Stimulants How Does Methylphenidate Compare With Other Stimulants?

Coke is like coke.

Methylphenidate is like Diet Coke.

Amphetamine is like amphetamine.

I prefer amps (releasers), while others like the cokey reuptake inhibitors. All will get you wired in the end, i just feel more euphoric from amps.
 
Cocaine - a quick burst of egotistical euphoria and feeling of power. Has an extremely intense rush IV and smoking the base can also give a powerful rush. High wears off quickly, but this can be good since you can go to sleep a couple hours quickly. As long as you aren't smoking it or shooting it it's really not all that addictive. Recreational potential 8/10

Methamphetamine - has the most euphoric and stimulating high, lasting up to 12 hours. When smoking it, the effects hit you as soon as you blow out the smoke. Extremely addictive. The IV rush is unbelievable and has been.known to cause spontaneous orgasms. Recreational potential - 10/10

Methyphenidate - taken orally its fairly stimulating, but it's much more powerful when snorted. In terms of the quality of the euphoria its somewhere between cocaine and amphetamine. The IV rush is very intense. Recreational potential - 6/10

Amphetamine salts - Taken orally its more stimulating and euphoric than methylphenidate, but snorting or shooting it is less than impressive. The quality of the euphoria is great though, great for getting work done. Recreational potential - 6/10

Aside from the rush, amphetamines tend to have a more euphoric, sustained high.
 
I've always wondered this myself.

I know people like to compare it to coke in the media along with every other simpleton, but, is it really "cokey"?


I never had a want to seek it out, I always assumed it would be "meh" but hmm, I'm curious now.

EDIT: Just looked at some threads from before, everyone insist it is shit, as I recalled...curiousity now flat-lined.

shitty. But it will get you spun if you don't have a tolerance. To me if your gonna speed meth is the only answer. The rest are just imitations.
 
nasty stuff from da pharma-labs to make mucho money out of it, imo. in the beginning quiete nice, but more similar to amps than coke. the longer you use (and abuse) it, the more the negative side effects take over (getting you nervous, unconcentrated, laggy). for some people it seems to help working and studying more efficiently.

but, a good cup of coffee helps you in the same way. ^^

It has some euphoria to it but its very jittery, very physical. Duration is nice imo

IVed is good but a joke when compated to IV Coke which is a monster

If IV coke is a monster then IV methamphetamine is an eight-headed, fire-breathing dragon.
 
Personally i've found methylphenidate to be an OK high considering the jittery comedown but has a rush very much like cola; just less dopamine based and more adrenal. Compared to (dex)amphetamine its worse in all aspects apart from the rush and insomnia. Dexamphetamine may be mellower but for performance and motivation it is a thousand times more effective.

The only problem with dexamphetamine is that it has been proven to be (over time) neurotoxic while methylphenidate is not at all. This is due to methylphenidate only maintaining the dopamine and norepinephrine that is already present in the synapses in the brain, while dexamphetamine (and other amphetamines for that matter) pressure the brain into forcing out more chemicals causing cerebral stress.
 
The rush isnt as intense as coke but does have a similar feeling. However yhe subsequent high lasts much longer and feels like amphetamine.

Amphetamines are far better for getting work done. Concerta (time release methylphenidate) is also good for this but still far weaker than amphetamine. Methamphetamine is the ultimate stimulant in terms of recreation, too good in fact. Time release dextroamphetamine (Dexedrine) is probably the most useful for getting work done.
 
methylphenidate leaves you with a cracked out high and a shit comedown
i wont touch it.
i will barely ever touch d-amph anymore, let alone methylphenidate
methamphetamine has a less severe comedown than d-amph imo
 
From least favorite to most favorite, my preference for work:

Crack -> Cocaine HCL -> A-PVP -> Methamphetamine -> Methylphenidate -> Amphetamine -> 2-FMA

And for recreation:

Cocaine HCL -> Crack -> Methylphenidate -> Amphetamine -> A-PVP -> 2-FMA -> Methamphetamine

Many more stims id rather not take the time to work into the equation.

Wow ill have to check out this 2-FMA. Second only to meth for recreation, yet more functional than amphetamine?

And damn amphetamine better than crack for recreation? True it lasts all of 5 minutes but i can't recall the last time i got a bellringer out of adderall.

If you snort enough methylphenidate, it is the same as a meth high.

Actually I find snorting a bit of methylpenidate and smoking a bit of meth to be far better than either one alone.

Do you have a reference concerning this matter? I was of the beliefe that amphetamine only showed neurotoxicity in rather large doses (recreational use).
 
I'm a daily stimulant user for many years and have tried most of them :) I expected Ritalin to be on par with the amphetamines I've tried, but sadly it wasn't. It made me feel like an emotionless robot. More sedated than stimulated, though I couldn't sleep after dosing. Very annoying.

If you like cocaine, Ritalin might be enjoyable for you. I think they work in a similar way. But if you're used to dopamine releasers like meth or Adderall, don't expect much.

I just prefer the smooth long high from releasers, rather than 5 minutes of high and a month of chasing it. And 2-fma is definitely a gem, not pushy but incredibly functional and probably the stim I'd choose 90% of the time for calculative work or animalistic sex, and most everything in between.
