how do you upload pictures into comments or posts in bluelight?

for example if i want to upload a picture here, i see the icon which is for pictures, but it only allows me a picture from a url, not from my pictures folder.
how can i upload a picture from MY computer?

that is correct. you have to first upload the image to an image hosting site. that could be your own website if you have one or a picture hosting site like postimage or imageshack (note, i don't recommend either of those sites, i just found them using google).

once you've got the image hosted on a website somewhere, you can link to it so that it appears in your post.

unfortunately, we're currently having a little trouble with the image button (the 'icon for pictures' which you see). it's easy to type the code inline - just surround the url of the image with [img][/img] tags thus:

this: [img]http://www.veryicon.com/icon/png/Food%20%26%20Drinks/Summertime%20Snacks/Cheeseburger.png[/img]

creates this:

if you don't know the url of your image, just right click on it and choose 'copy image location' (firefox), 'copy image url' (chrome) or 'properties' (ie - after which you'll have to copy the 'address (url)' from the properties).
