Heroin How do you know when you have missed?

Hey everyone, I was just wondering a question, which probably has a simple answer, but I am not sure.

When I am in a vein, pull back, and get a plume, sometimes it stings a bit when I inject. I gather this is due to the citric. But then I was wondering, sometimes it stings more than others in different areas, could this be a slight miss?

What are the symptoms of a missed hit?

And is there anything you should do if you have missed?

If you don't feel a rush and a bump forms were you shot. Those are the only things I've noticed. Hold a hot compress to it. An abscess my form and those fucking suck.

When I miss I notice two things(never heroin though, none around in my area, just Oxy's, Diludid, Fent, and Mophine.) The most I have experice is with Oxys and what I notice is it stings and while you are pushing down a lump starts to appear soon as you are pushing, thats when you stop, and also why you always go slow. Also if you feel no rush, but feel high 10 mins later you missed. What I always done when I miss is get a warm(well I use scolding hot) rag wrap it around it and massage it to get whatever is stuck there to move around and not just sit there.

Your skin will swell if you're not in. While some ingredients (citric, alcohol, bad cut) will sting a little when you're in your vein, if there's no swelling after a unit is pushed in, you're good.
