Heroin How do you guys measure out heroin?

hey, obviously im new to this sorta shit, was just wondering how you guys measure out a certain amount of heroin, for example.
50mg.

50mg is almost weightless, how do you know that say.. the amount of heroin in the syringe is actually 50mg?

Also can someone please link me to some pages on how to prep a shot for IV, and the IV process itself, there are probably some on this site, but being new, i dont know where to find them.

If it helps, the smack we tend to get around here is the white shit, which as far as i know is unsuitable for smoking without the addition of caffeine, but im newb, to as much info as i can get is really helpful.

It's kind of pointless to measure out a certain amount of heroin on a scale. Thats the only way to be exact.

If you know how much it takes you to get high snorted, say half a bag, use half that amount. A whole bag snorted, IV half a bag.

Honestly, the way I do it, I just eyeball it. I usually IV 2-3 bags at once, but when I started I'd always test the potency once by snorting it. The megathread linked below suggests this also.

After that, gauge your IV shot from there. It's up to you to measure the potency. Be careful with it.

I get the white stuff as well, I never use heat and I filter twice.

Most people I know don't use scales or anything for dope, and just eyeball. This seems to be a relatively safe practice if you start small on new (or even all) batches, and gauge from there.

As for the rest, there are IV megathreads and such on the main Other Drugs page. Just search through the other drugs directory, and important threads of OD.

I use tar, so I used heat when prepping shots. With the white I don't think you need to, although I hear it is a good practice to help remove bacteria.

Make sure to use a sterile environment, and be as clean and safe as possible. Always use a new rig, and filter through cotton at least. Have fun, but be safe. This seems like something new to you, and it is a dangerous road to travel down if you aren't smart about it.

yeah most everyone I know just eyeballs it. But be careful and always test maybe you'll never OD doing 1 or 2 bags. But 3 or 4 of really good stuff could easily kill someone. Much less when you are used to getting crap and having to do 6-8 bags and then get some good stuff without testing!

I was literally saying always test so you don't overdose, bc no matter how much you are doing there is always the chance of death. I think that is in the interests of HR, I def wasnt saying just do 3 or 4 bags wtf?

Second of all, you must be getting shitty dope because 1-2 bags where I'm from could kill a seasoned/tolerance user.

My bad if I said it in a hard to comprehend manner for all of you. You could be safe doing 1-2 bags but since you can never know purity always test, because once you start getting in the habit of doing multiple bag shots it could be your last. CLEARER?

And this isn't a dick measuring forum so I am glad you get good dope, but I stopped doing heroin 2 years ago. It controls me and it always turns into a life I don't want to live

When I used to do heroin, I heaped an amount of heroin onto a spoon eyeballing it.

In Warsaw Heroin is sold in many districts but the best heroin always used to be in one and they sell it wrapped in aluminium foil, each 0.25g or if you take larger amounts like 3g then they may pack it all in one wrapping. Well, not all dealers use scales, actually most don't, right? So they measure those 0.25g roughly as well, let's be honest...

Eventually I had 3 dealers and each used a scale enough precise to measure what I needed and I always bought stuff in bulk because I'm not from Warsaw. The stuff was one of the best back then. 2 of them got "extra" stuff right from the guy taking care of the business in area, it was before adding anything (and it's brown heroin so it's easy to buy scarifier of similar color in supermarkets, dealers add that), the third guy had strong stuff too and he smoked a lot of marihuana, he used to give me free pot at his apartment very often because I was a good client8). When I took heroin, I hadn't had a scale yet, now I've got a 0.001g analytical scale. So back then when I first bought from one of those guys, I really watched when he had said earlier "take 2/3 of your dose or even 1/2, this stuff is really strong".

So to recap, even in one district heroin varies in quality, be it brown heroin (the most known and the most users but still it's a niche) or white heroin (actually after I backed from this, I know I could get it only from 1 source now and it's rare in Poland anyway). Two rules:

1) when you buy from dealer X, remember how strong his stuff is;
2) when there's a new delivery, try a smaller dose than normal, I was always told by dealers when they got stronger material but they had to be users as well...

My tolerance went down from stopping and 3 bags had me flatline only to be revived with iv suboxone which actually fucked me up even more (without lethality). I USED to shoot 3 bags just to test quality

OP: Where I come from the bags are measured for us. 1 stamp is .1g or 100mg. Due to the fact that dope can be cut you kind of have to know the batch and your current tolerance to know how much is too little/too much (watch out for too much)
