will putting ice on it right after shooting help??

obviously i could put make up on them

Look for dermatological creams for scars, there are many options in the pharmacy. There are alternative therapies also, there's this skin cream, the name of which escapes me, it's made of 80% snail secretion and is very effective at promoting healing and rejuvination of skin. It costs about 30$ a tub.

They say prevention is better than cure: Use the smallest needle guage you can inject with and rotate your injection sites as much as possible, track marks can be virtually eliminated this way. If you are not fat, a great way to get lots of fresh veins to inject in is squats. Look on youtube to find out how to do them correctly. 20 to 30 squats can be done in under a minute and when you're done you will see many veins not normally visable areound your groin area and on the front of your thighs.

Ungvita! a greasy, smelly like fish, but absolutely excellent skin and scar healing cream, quick healing adn 80%+ effective!! Full of vitamin A+
It is not vit. E that heals skin, but vit.A
Also, take vitamin C,A,E,D as supplements!!

this is great information thank you very much. i have some questions for you though. is shooting in that area safe? how safe is it shooting in your thighs compared to the veins on the side of your wrist( the big vein that runs near your thumb ) i use small guage needles. i use the 29 gauge.

also, is there a possibility that i could shoot into a artery instead of a vein? im kind of a noob at shooting.

I'm not 100% sure on this one, hopefully someone with more knowledge will chime in. The blood vessles near the surface of the thighs, which are revealed when you do squats are veins. Arteries run deeper in the flesh so you would have to miss or go through the surface vein completely and go deep into the thigh to register in an artery. You can tell if you hit an artery if the blood is a bright red. The risks regarding shooting in the hands is what I'm not sure about. I would assume that a miss here would be a lot more painful and dangerous due to the possibility of tendon or nerve damage. The hands have more innervation than the rest of the body put together, I would not inject in my hands before learning exactly where the nerves are, the last thing you want is permanent nerve damage.

PS: Have you tried using an even smaller gauge? If you are dextrous enough to use them then there's no reason you shouldn't. A 31 gauge has a cross sectional area 40% lower than a 29 guage.

PPS: Here's that cream I was talking about, it's 80% snail extract and also contains all the vitamins that LITM mentioned: http://www.bohemia-style.com/store/product.php?productid=82

when you stick your needle in what you think is a vein and draw back the plunger, if you get BRIGHT RED blood this means you are in an artery and you should withdraw the needle without depressing the plunger and injecting the drug. When you are in a vein you will get darker maroon/red blood. If you draw back the plunger and get no blood this means you are not in a vein and you have probably spiked through it or it has rolled around the syringe (if you are shooting in wrist veins which you should not do).

Get some 30g needles and use the vein on the inside of the side of the wrist below the thumb.
