ok guys, the title says it all.

How bad do you withdrawal from opiates?

As for me, I withdrawal really bad/hard.
Of course with a tolerance like mine, not surprising..

Using the cows score, what was your highest?

my worst withdrawal came the first time i went to rehab last year, I was coming off Heroin (1.5-2g daily), Methadone (80-120mg daily)...

Of course with the methadone in my system, they couldnt start me on detox until i tapered down to 30mg methadone and wait 72 hours after that to start my buprenorphine detox.

they did a cows score on me exactly 72 hours after, and I scored a whopping 39

my symptoms were incredibly severe, obviously with a 39 score.

here's how I scored,

Pulse was 122 = 4
Sweat streaming on face = 4
Restlessness, could barely sit still = 4 (could've scored a 5, but went with 4)
Pupil size, extremely large, could barely see the brown = 5
Bone/joint aches were extreme = 4
runny nose/tearing, it looked like i was crying = 4
GI upset, was nausous and crampy, but not vomiting, = 2
Tremor, very twitchy shaky = 3 (not a full 4)
Yawning, quite a bit, not unctontrolably, making jaw pain = 3 (not a full 4)
Anxiety, irratabilty, very anxious, very irratated but I knew i was getting subs so it was SO EXTREME mentally, but yes physically = 3 (not a full 4)
Gooseflesh, I would get goosebumps 2-3x a minute, = 3 (not a full 4)

ONE OF THE WORST TIMES OF MY LIFE, IF NOT THE WORST.. it really felt like i got hit by a truck.. in all honesty.. there were a couple hundred people at the rehab i went too, and the highest score i heard from someone was a 29.. it's unreal how bad i withdrawal.

What about you guys?

(I used the clinical opiate withdrawal scale from drug abuse . gov)

I think this is the most appropriate forum for it. I cba to do the test right now, but I'm dopesick as hell, and have been for a while. Methadone & H/Oxy. Pretty hefty doses too. Though I'm like 6-7 days into w/d so it wouldn't be accurate, next time I am acutely dopesick I'll see if I can muster up the energy to calculate my score on the cows scale.

That's been my problem. Everytime I'm heavy in withdrawal I'm just too unwell to have ever sat in front of a computer long enough.

If I have time later I can try to see what my score was based on my memory, but I'm not sure how partial the score would be that way. I believe my memories of withdrawal are usually remembered worse than things actually were.

For me personally opiate withdrawal is not as bad as the media portrays it for example the heroin addict who did not have his fix is slouched over in agonizing pain , shiting his pants while throwing up at the same time , is all a big exaggeration. For me I do have diarrhea, I have no appetite and I'm just lazy as f*** with leg tension. Opiate WD is very uncomfortable but I can sleep it off unlike Xanax wd

No actual score here since I haven't been and don't plan on being sick for a while. I get a similar experience with ALL drugs. Worst possible w/d one could possibly have.

I feel the entire spectrum, I would say mine is similar to Metha's (with lower numbers of course I'm on weaker junk) but the GI issues would be max score. I won't even eat but I'll still have to use the bathroom like 5-7 times because of diarrhea and whatnot.

COWS scale? not even adequate for the kind of withdrawal i've had. 48 would have constituted sweet relief if some of the categories included even more extreme versions of some symptoms. cold turkey from years of thousands of mgs per day.. aka the good old days. now tho thanks to lope and a much smaller habit, never pass the single digits.
