Anyone with any knowledge on the subject know how accurate this film is? You'd think some was conjured up in an attempt to make the movie more interesting. However, the 'infinifilm' feature on the dvd show interviews with the producers, directors etc claiming they were incredibly accurate from every aspect - sometimes reenacting conversations verbatim from Kennedy's secret taping of many of the Joint Chiefs' meetings. I'd be curious to know how much of the film historians consider debateable.

Regardless, I give it two thumbs up.

The bit where Kennedy uses his rocket boots to foil a bank robbery was the only accurate part.

Apparently the events are accurate, but the hero worship of the kennedy's was overdone.

"The two men who know better than most what went on those informal gatherings, McNamara and Sorenson, will only say that were "some historical inaccuracies are inevitable with a movie". But as two of the chief keepers of the Camelot flame they pronounced themselves happy with film overall."

seen this movie, own it and thoroughly enjoyed it. i love most govt documentaries or similar movies. i thought this was way better done than "JFK", even though i liked that very much too.
