So when I was a lot younger.. well not too much younger.. "18 now" I had a fever and had a bad headache going on and my mom told me to go take two excedrin, now I was still little then and my mom didn't know they were extra strength excedrin and I ended up having an allergic reaction.. all I remember was my face swelling up really bad and taking a benadryl. But the other day I took half of a vicodin for the first time and just connecting all the pieces now, I belive the day after the vicodin I ended up with hives on my back that hurt like pins and needles and had kind of an itch to them. Anyways I just had another vicodin given to me today and before i was about to take it I remembered the random hives I recently had and the reaction from the excedrin when I was little and was wondering if I could have some sort of allergy to pain killers? I dont remember for certain but I belive I may have hived up from the excedrin when I was young but all I really remember was the face swelling because as a kid I thought i was pretty funny looking and didn't realize my throat could have been closing up... I still take like ibuprofen and Tylenol when I get headaches since then but I don't think I've ever taken excedrin again. Also I dont remember for certain whther the hives were the direct day after taking the vicodin, I thought they ended up being from wearing dirty work shirts and sweating in them that Friday night??? Idk I was going to take the full vicodin this time but just remembered all this.. should I take the half again and see if hives return or could I possibly have a worse reaction this time and my throat swell and die?

The only common ingredient between Excedrin and Vicodin are the acetaminophen or Tylenol. The Tylenol doesn't give you a reaction?
