Anyone else find it strangely intimate to help someone else shoot up or vice versa? I've pondered it and the only people I've done this with are close friends or boyfriends. I really kinda like it but then again maybe I'm just a freak. Thoughts?
 
I used to do it for my girl all da time was fun for a lil
Then became a hassle then I shot up..

Still wish she'd hit me a solid speed bawl.

Haha word. I once ended up with this guy who had never done it but he lied and said he did. He put the cotton in the shit (bupe) and then cooked it -_-

After I told him he didn't need to cook it and you aren't supposed to put the cotton in beforehand he put the needle in with the bevel all cockeyed, what a mess!
 
Yeah, this can be a pretty intimate, not to say in the right contexts, erotic, experience. Pretty perverted shit when you think about it but it's all about breaking taboo, isn't it? Even outside of an erotic context between friends it can be a gesture of trust and of being together in the dope scene, 'cause yeah, if I'm letting you get near me with a needle, I trust you pretty well. In that vein (groan...) one of my best male friends back in the day said I was the only one besides his girlfriend he'd let hit him because I have some medical training. In I guess some kind of reciprocity I would let him hit me, too, he was actually the one that introduced me to heroin and i.v. drugs (simultaneously.)

Hitting myself was very difficult when I was a noob, my veins are tiny and they roll like Snoop Dog lol. So a friend of mine showed me how to hit kinda from the side of the vein. Man what I wouldn't give to see him again :)

Also I kinda like needles sticking me, it is very erotic in a way.. Just penetration of any kind I guess.

My buddy, well, I try and avoid seeing him, as he's just.. In a horrible way atm, I hope he cleans up for his goddamn kid, but regardless.. I seen this dude hit the most wild places, smallest veins, ect. His palms have fkn track marks, hits his fingertips, never seen anything like it.. Last time I saw him.

That's crazy, I didn't even know it was possible to hit anything that tiny without blowing it up.
 
Either way that dude is talented. I'd fuck myself up bad if I tried any of that shit.. my technique probably just sucks. But perhaps that's a good thing.
 
Yeah, me myself I prefer a 27 in the mainline or cephalic/basilic/dorsal, but I guess when you're out of choices ...

The ironic thing is that what drives people like this to develop good technique on shitty veins is initially having shitty technique on good veins.

You're absolutely right, I ruined my good veins when I didn't know what I was doing. Nowadays I usually hit the top of my hand or the inside of my ankle. Shooting crank and shit like that also destroyed some good ones..
 
i got to the point of shooting in my neck. It wasn't bad technique as I was always good at shooting up, but more than likely a cut in the dope or coke in syracuse that caused my veins to become shriveled little branches on a withered oak.
