I have searched all over the web and couldn't find any info on this. I was wondering if promethazine can be taken in high doses like diphenhydramine to cause a sort of trip?
I don't plan on trying this because my few trips on dph have not been enjoyable, but I was curious as to if anyone has tried this or heard of anyone trying it.

They both have the same pharmacological properties, specifically anticholinergic properties. So it is entirely possible.

I know it is possible, I am wondering if anyone has actually tried it, and if someone has, what was it like?

Years ago I used to play around with codeine syrup and promethazine 25mg tablets. Sometimes a little alcohol as well. Silly combo :\

Promethazine is a deliriant, so at high doses yeah things get weird.
The weird thing about this drug is that it's only sedative up to a certain dose.. say around 150-250mg, after which point it becomes stimulant, and all sorts of other things.

I've actually read quite a few promethazine trip reports and they all said it was neither a positive or a negative experience. Not much recreational potential.

But i've had some interesting hallucinations from promethazine :)
I'd been awake just over 30hrs and i'd taken something like 300mg Codeine, 125mg Pro and about 1oz Vodka.....

I was sat looking at a fairly blank web page on my laptop.. and this weird pencil drawing of an old man's face appeared.
I wasn't sure if it was actually there or not.. so it was a true hallucination by definition.
The drawing started to morph and change, as if someone was erasing parts and drawing new details, like a moustache etc.
A little later I started seeing the health gauge from the Xbox game Halo appear in various places, on the laptop screen, on the curtains, the wall..
I've only ever played Halo once or twice at a friends house, many many years ago.. bizarre.
