i just moved out of the apartment i was living in for the summer and moved in with a friend for a few days until my parents pick me up in a few days. my previous roommates and I smoked a lot of weed, and i was basically immune to the smell and didn't really notice. however now that i'm in a new environment, i can definitely smell that my clothes reek of weed. my new roommates can too. they say it smells really potent, and whenever i open one of my suitcases its like a fresh burst of smell comes out.

has anyone had a similar situation to this? will my clothes air out if i just open my suitcases up? or do i need to run all of my clothes through the wash again? or would just running them through the dryer with a fresh bounce sheet be enough?

also, i got some really dank/smelly bud right now. altho i love having good weed, sometimes i feel it's not worth the trouble or risk of getting caught. and i mean this shit reeks bad. its the kind where even having it in a pill container wrapped in bounce sheets isn't enough to make my room smell like i was growing a plant in here.

so, i basically got 48 hours to do something or else my parents are definitely going to smell this shit on the way back home in the car ride. what do you guys suggest? or how did u deal with a similar situation?

i heard they sell bags that help contain the smell at smoke shops. are these worth it? or will bounce sheets suffice?

i also have some coffee. maybe submerging the pill container in a ziploc of ground up coffee help?

Dryer sheets :)
I suggest wrapping the bud in a thick sweatshirt or jeans. Also make sure you have an airtight nug jug or if you have a buddy with one of those vacuum packer things put it in there (use the "gentle" mode) put it one bag, seal it up, then put in another bag and seal it up again. Do it as many times as you want the more the better. Haha. Hope this helps bruddah.

Uh, wash your friggin clothes.

I am a stoner and ive never had that problem, i smoke in the house all damn day.

As for the smelly container, put it in a few ziplocked bags, shouldnt be a problem.

Washing your clothes helps. :)

Using a few ziplock bags works. Putting the herb in the coffee could work if the coffee is ground, there's a lot of it (like a pound), and you know that nobody else is going to go into it. Just wrap it up very well in bags first.

i had it in 2 ziplock bags (freezer) and wrapped in 3 bounce sheets, and it still rank so much.

ya i tested it out this morning by wrapping the ziplock bags in bounce sheets, then putting it in a big can of ground up coffee. masked everything perfectly, so i think that's what i'm gonna do. ill just have to make sure i hide the coffee

I use a vacuum sealer to stash respectable amounts of dank and a glass jar with a stopper for my stash. Put dryer sheets in your suitcase and spray your shit with fabreaze.

vacuum sealers are amazing, but if you're not willing to dish out for a sealer, just do this:

Put the weed in a ziplock bag. Get any excess air out before zipping shut. Put this bag in a second bag, with a few dryer sheets between the two bags (outside of the weed bag, inside the second bag). Put all this in a third ziplock bag. Zip em all shut.

You won't be able to smell the pot, at all.

As for your clothes and your place, open all the windows, ventilate it thoroughly, set up some fans. Wash all your clothes. Febreze the couch & drapes. Burn some incense for any last traces. Common sense should get the rest sorted.

luckily i'm staying at my friend's place, so the new place doesn't smell like smoke. it was just my clothes, and i was wondering if they would air out within a day or 2, or if i had to wash them all again.

Glass jars do the trick for me

Dryer sheets may mask it but if you leave it too long it permanently makes your weed smell weird as hell

baggie wrapped in tin foil works every time for me. of course, a jar is perfect too.

frabreeze, open air dry your clothes, and maybe vacuum seal the weed in a mason jar until your in the clear

thx everyone for the replies. i decided to use 2 ziplock bags, some bounce sheets, and then i put all that in the coffee can of ground up coffee. the stench is nonexistent now. i also rewashed all my clothes, and am febreezing everything over just in case i forgot to wash something.

Put it in a few ziplocks, then in a huge mason jar and stick in an air freshener in there for good measure. Makesure its bagged well or it could make your weed taste/smell kinda air freshenery which is not good
