Setting: At home with a few trip-sitters
I decided to test the heroin by sniffing a few bumps here & there throughout the week to see if it was clean enough to shoot.
I prepared all the stuff I was gonna need to convert the brown powder to liquid. I used several alcohol wipes on cleaned my right arm making sure that I was wiping in the same direction. I used a large thick rubberband as a torniquet <[sp?]. I put about $15 dollars worth of heroin in a fairly large metal spoon mixed with distilled water. Used a BBQ starter lighter (the kind that are like 8 inches long) to heat the mixture and played around with it until it looked as if it was ready (no more smoke bubbles).. put a cotton ball in there and used a fresh syringe (dunno gauge, but it was for insulin) to draw in the liquid.
I prepared myself for this new experience as I was told that shooting vs. snorting is much stronger. I managed to put the needle in there myself but I still had people watch me so that I wouldn't screw it up. In it went and now it was ready to push the plunger thing in. I only managed to push it in about 3/4 of the way before I yanked it out.
The very first thing I noticed was this feeling like I was cold and I had just layed down with a very warm & comfy blanket. My hands kinda went numb there.. and about 30 seconds later (I *think*) I started throwing up mad sh*t, mostly water. I continued to dry heave for a good 10 minutes or so but I was able to manage.
For the next hour or so all I could do is sit there (people were keeping an eye on me) and gaze at the other people in the room.. didn't have much energy to talk. I drank some Coca Cola to make the nasty taste from the vomit go away - it helped a lot.
Shooting heroin made me feel kinda like "I just don't give a f*ck".. that's the best way I can describe it. I'm sure that if the building that I was in caught fire, I could have cared less... because that's what it made me feel like.
Did I like it?.. umm.. sorta.. I wouldn't rank heroin among my top 5, but definately interesting.
Side effects?.. yeah I had side effects allright.. mainly I had stomach cramps the next morning and a headache from hell but other than that I was able to eat and function socially the next day.
Summary: I'd give it a 6 out of 10
