Heroin Heroin pupil constriction

Hey all, sorry if this has been asked before but my quick search didn't yield too many results.

So I acquired a quarter gram of heroin recently from a reputable source and have noticed that even the smallest doses, sometimes to the point where I don't even feel much (I'm very careful) seem to constrict my pupils down to nothing. I know this is a common opiate side effect but I'm talking like 5 mg insufflated doses.

I've had an oxy habit before (rarely exceeding 45mg a day) but don't right now, 20-30mg oxy would probably get me high. The form of it is black tar powder I guess, it's a brown powder with small sticky brown chunks that smells like vinegar. What I'm worried about is increasing my dose when such a small dose causes this constriction, what do you guys think? Does heroin cause this considerably more than other opiates?

I wouldn't judge your high based on the size of your pupils. Any active dose of an opiate will pin your pupils.

Thanks for the reply, I didn't think so but it's in my nature to check. How much more respiratory depression does h cause compared to other opiates, namely oxy? I did about a quarter of a bag (25mgs?) of some #4 white powder before with some oxy and it was nothing spectacular, though this dope seems to be a lot more potent. I've just been getting panic attacks lately and trying to lay off benzos so the thought that I might have taken too much will easily send me into a panic. Also I've been dissolving it in water and letting that absorb in my nasal passages, is this a good method or should I be doing more prep? I'm guessing it's already mixed with some kind of acid by the stank of it.

You method seems fine, I wouldn't prep it any other way if you're snorting it.

Heroin will be more sedating than oxycodone (most opiates are) so the side effects you mentioned will probably be more pronounced. I wouldn't worry much about the pin-point pupils, but you should still work up slow as no two batches of H are exactly the same. No one can tell you how much the product has been cut. Unlike pills you'll never truly know how much of your product is active.

Yes, I've noticed heroin constrict pupils much more easily/at much lower doses than other opiates. Don't judge your high by pupil constriction, it sounds like you're doing everything right, just dose up slowly and gradually if you're not getting the effects you want.
And like ^said, you'll want to be particularly careful every time you get a new batch since you won't know its purity.

Although certain opiates are more depressing on the cns, i've never experienced one that i couldn't get significantly high on before worrying about any respiratory depression.

Yeah, like others have said.. the constriction of your pupils doesn't always have a correlation to how high you are. It's a side effect of any opiate and it can happen on low doses and high doses just the same.

I would also reconsider abusing opiates, especially heroin, if just doing a little bit sends you into a panic attack...

Mr. Scagnattie - I haven't experienced a panic attack from H specifically but have with opiates in the past, I have some health-related anxiety. Sound advice though, the thing is it's extremely rare in my area so I don't mind getting a little smacked once in a while. And while the high is nice I still prefer the oxy high, always have to the more sedating opiates like morphine. The purity factor also turns me away, something that can differ so much from batch to batch is just not something I can see myself doing regularly.
